loosing boost?

I've heard about the stock lightning boost gauge being innacurate in some vehicles. Is that true? on the stock gauge at wot It read like 9 or 10lbs. I just installed an autometer ultralite boost gauge and it reads like 7 lbs tops from what i could see. could i be loosing boost because of belt slippage. thanks

yes it's true. Was it an electric or mechanical gage? How many miles on the L? You may need to clean the intercooler. But with this hot weather that is about right. As it cools off you will pick some PSI back up.

Autometer gagues are known for not being that accurate.

The mechanicals, yes, but way more accurate than the stock gage. Electricals are a better choice but $.
