what hp #s should i be looking for

hey hows it going ive been on this site for a few months and havent posted much but ive got an 05 screw with a vortech supercharger. well my trucks been in the shop for 3 weeks now im going from the stock 6psi boost to 12psi,water to methanol injected, the new comp blower cams springs and retainers,fel-pro 3 layer head gaskets and new head bolts, electric fans, and full exhaust with jba headers x-pipe with true duals and 2 single chamber flowmasters. im looking to see about how much rwhp i would have and since ive got the heads a little beefed up would i be safe to go to 14psi or no. thanks for all comments

12psi is steep without an intercooler, although you are using meth injection. I would get it tuned and running safe with the 12psi with a stock lower end and be happy. 14psi may be pushing it, but if you have the $$ for a new bottom end giver a go.

BTW at 12 psi & the meth injection you should put just at or over 400hp to the wheels

FATERHFORD manages almost 450 with his Vortec blower...I'm still trying to figure out his secret. He's at 12 psi, info here:

At any rate, you should be at least at his level.

FATHERFORD has his truck tuned right, with all your mods you are supposed to make more power than him as you use the same Vortech S/C and have some other stuff that he does not, like water/methanol injection, head work, good exhaust set up etc...
Let's see how good is your tuner, FATHERFORD makes 450RWHP easily but he said his truck can make 500RWHP with a hot tune anytime.
Good luck with everything.

His secret is balance. The mods he selected are working together as a team with each complementing each other to achieve Fatherfords goal of "Power"

At any rate, you should be at least be at his level.
Not true..... More mods do not automatically equate to more power.. More mods without balance often turn out to be just more mods to add in a signature.

There was an L at Superior putting down what I thought to be good numbers but the owner was pissed off. I later found out that he spent almost $2k for custom kooks headers, install and lost 4rwhp
Out of balance

Fyi the vortech"s for 2004 on, come with aftercoolers. Pre 04's now have an option for an aftercooler

Yeah my truck is capabale of 500rwhp+, just its my DD and stock long block and tranny I kept it at 450rwhp.

I have been wanting to do alot of stuff to it, but then at the same time i kinda lost interest in the truck. Specially after someone scraped my front bumper somewhere when I was parked. Im sure you will see more power, but how much is unsure. The vortech is only going to be effiecent to the other mods so long before you wont see that much gain.

I'm interested to see the results though, maybe one day ill find some love again for my truck that I lost and finish building it up. My stangs though now have my complete 100% modification concentration. That and a house of my own to keep them at, lol.

But not necessarily false either.
You never know until you put it on the rollers.

I am sorry dude, those numbers are pretty low for your set-up and 12psi. If your tuner can not tune a water/methanol injection you don't have to say nothing else. Stay away from him. You are in California and there are a lot of top of the line tuners in the area. I am in Pa-NJ and my options can be counted using the fingers of one hand. JDM,JLP,PSP and one or two more.

Do a search on the lightning forums and if you don't find something go on modularfords.com

Who tuned you at Superior? Shawn? His mood has alot to do with his work which is wrong. But because of his history of putting down big numbers on customers cars he has the arragant attitude which is wrong.

Dont assume just because you have more mods than fatherford or anyone with a similar setup that you will make more power. It does not work that way. What works on our trucks is not the same as what works on prior model F150s with 2v's motors. But I understand you will have to see that for yourself.

Where is ST Performance and do they have a website? If its near or in Riverside I do business there quite often at Walters MBZ where I purchased my E55. Let me know what help I can offer you.
