IS THIS A DEAL? Roush Int SC, $6,300 installed

IS THIS A DEAL? Time to step up and get boosted. I like the warranty but its not polished and that is an issue for me.
Hillbanks Motorsports had it
04-06 F-150 Roush Intercooled Supercharger[ROU-401633]$6,299.99 installed
or $5,899.99 and FREE MAGNALOW CATBACK!

Get the most out of your 5.4L with Roush's new Intercooled Supercharger for 2004-UP Ford F-150s. Extensive dyno testing by Roush has shown gains of 145 horsepower and 143 ft-lbs of torque at the flywheel. Not only is this a massive gain in performance for your truck, but this supercharger is also backed by the industry's leading warranty, a 3 year/30,000 mile warranty covering Ford's powertrain warranty from the factory. Roush doesn't even stop there, but also included with their supercharger is a Roush standalone PCM calibration, for optimum performance. Fits all 2004-UP F-150s equipped with the 5.4L modular engine, both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive. Package includes a Roush M112 roots-style supercharger, intake manifold, air-to-water intercooler system, a set of high-flow fuel injectors, all the necessary hardware and instructions, and Roush's standalone PCM calibration (PCMs must be sent to Roush for the changes to be made). 50 State Legal. **SPECIAL MEMORIAL WEEK SALE*** Now through 5/26, with the purchase of a Roush Intercooled Supercharger, we will throw in a FREE Magnaflow Cat-Back exhaust system. Or, if you are so inclined, you can have the supercharger installed for $400 more (call for details). Make sure to take advantage of this limited time offer!

.................................................. .................................................. ....

After posting this and crunching the numbers it is the going standard price. $5900 is list price The $400 for labor @ 8-10 hrs is the best part of the deal.
So the question now is how much under $6,300 installed is a great deal?

Not sure how much detail I go into on it on the boards, but let me suggest calling Mike Troyer for the SC. I *was* looking to get the intercooled SC WITH a Troyer custom tune that makes a LOT of difference (and is needed nomatter what to remove the 99mph limiter) for less than the normal price for just the kit. The custom tune and xcal 2 is worth $450~ since it is for a sc tune.

As for the install, after much research I found out it only needs an ASE certified mechanic to "sign off" on it...something to consider. You could likely tackle this install in 2-3 days with yourself and maybe some local members with some experience with a wrench and save some serious cash on the install. Or at least realize you have a lot of flexibility as to where you get it installed. It ISNT just at Ford dealers or Roush dealers like some claim.

Good luck!

Sounds like good information. Thanks. In the big picture, just like everyone with a toy who has experienced the great and the awful, I am just trying to put myself in the position to deal with "the awful" if it happens. The warranty on the Roush is the only thing that keeps me coming back to it...

All due respect to the supporting vendors, you can also look locally.

Swanson Performance (http://www.swansonperformance.com/) is in Torrance.
SoCalDiablo (http://www.socaldiablo.com/) is in Anaehim, by Knotts Berry Farm.

Both local shops will tune it locally on thier dyno, and install it locally for you.
I got a great dyno tune from Danny Swanson. He's very well known amongst the local Lightning & Mustang guys.

Send me a PM if you want some good info. I'm local, in Long Beach and have a bit of experience.
