Procharger air filter

Hi guys,

I want to get a backup filter for my system so that I can clean one without missing a beat. Anybody know the K&N filter # for my application? (01 F-150 4.6L with 9lb procharger).

Also, anybody use a different filter that they have received better results with? (other than madenterprise $325 upgrade)?

Thanks!

Might be able to find a S&B filter that fits. Their element incorporates the top end of the filter so you get a little more total surface area. Really, getting Mike's intake duct is the best way to go. My setup:

sure is.

but yes, an S&B is much better. it'll make more boost too. that ATi supplied filter sucks (literally). i never even put mine on. its like sucking through a straw. i think its the one for hondas or something

I will be using one of the AEM "dry" filters, no oil which means no chance of fouling the MAF. They come in a host of sizes and are no more expensive than thier competitors, and flow just as good if not better. Mad's intake is a nice piece though, it is worth taking a look at.

I agree, I have been using the K&N for about the same number of years and have not had a problem. But the dry filter technology came along and no oil means one less chance of having an issue and one less thing to buy. The AEM's are still washable, just no oily mess. I have owned a few AEM products and they are always of exceptional quality, figured I would give this one a shot.

I don't think it is availible at a local shop. I got mine from Summit, they had the best prices by far. www.summitracing.com
