Procharger guys listen up.....

I removed my psc-1 kit sunday in order to get it ready to sell. as i was pulling the tubing off the intercooler, about half a cup of oil poured out. i knew a catch can was a good idea, but it appears as it is almost a must have. theres no telling how much might be in the intercooler.

so if you dont have a catch can, i'm recommending one with centrifugal blowers which have the same sort of setup as the procharger.

I just posted something about this the other day. I popped the hood and seen oil spots around. Mainly at the intake of the Charger. I originally thought it might be the drain plug on the charger or since the charger sits right on top of the valve cover, I thought maybe there. Ends up it's the PCV valve. I have a catch can on the passenger side as like Jordan Not Mike has (or vissa-versa) but not the Driver's side, although I will soon...Probably this weekend. The oil had not made it to the intercooler yet but it was at the by-pass valve.
How much you lookin to get outta your charger? Gonna put it on E-Bay? Just curious....

Bullitt,

If you don't already have a buyer for your kit, please let me know how much you are asking... abbeymtg@comcast.net

Thanks!

Hey Bullitt, It looks like you sold your Procharger. I'm getting ready to sell mine. I've got a similar setup package. I'm not sure what to ask for it. I'm unable to PM you (don't know why.) Can you help me out on an asking price? Dave C. dsbncouillard@yahoo.com

I think ALL of our trucks do this, supercharged or not . When I pulled my intake off for the SC install it had oil in it at 8,000 miles of easy driving! I have checked since the Whipple install and its in the Whipple air inlet already. I have searched the L fourm and see that those guys are using catch cans. I'm looking but haven't see what I want yet. Any ideas out there???

You'll get some opinions that one might work for some but not others. The absolute way is to install breathers and block off the lines. 2nd would be the L&S system but it's pricey. I have the oil seperator similar to one on an air compressor and while I think it works well I don't think it is absolute.

I think Jordan not Mike or visa-versa. Check his setup out. I'm using that same thing but I had difficulty finding fittings. I think it's a Campbell Hausfeld and you can get them at Wally World or a hardware store. I put one on the passenger side and I'm in the process of doing the driver's side as soon as I find fittings. This is the cheap way out also. You can buy the cool lookin ones from Summit or Jegs, just search oil separator or oil catch cans.

Good Luck

Oh, you can see mine in my gallery but it is small...

I got all of my parts at Home Depot. They carry all of the brass fittings, catch-can, etc... At my local home Depot, the fittings are near the yard sprinlklers. The aior/oil separator is with the air tools/compressors.

If you get the air/oil separator from Home Depot, remove the little stone filter in it. It isn't needed and will quickly clog.

Also, another member suggested cleaning all of the brass fittings periodically. I'd agreee..after about 6 months or so, it can get a little gummed up in there.
