Gauges
Gauges
I know that this has been posted before but i want to know other people's opinions. i am going to be buying the phantom 2 gauges for the lightning setup and i just want to know what kind of gauges everyone is running. i am llokig at doing a three gauge setup with a boost gauge and air fuel ratio and i want to know what other gauge i should put in there. Also do i need a boost/ vacuum gauge or just a boost gauge. Thanks again everyone

If your Lightning is a turbo than I would definately get an egt gauge. trans temp is always good. Aside from that, get a gauge for whatever you want to monitor. I'm thinking you want boost/vac.
I have Boost, Trans Temp, and EGT gauges from speedhut in my F-250 and they match the factory green lighting in my IP perfectly. They are also very easy to install.

ok... my f150 is not a lightning but it is going through the lightning conversions. I am getting the phantom2 gauges so i know that i am getting the boost (mechanical i was told this was the only mechanical one that wa actually better) , the digital air fuel ratio gauge, so i need to look into the fuel pressure. what does this actually do for me? Should i ditch the airr/ffuel ratio and just get the fuel pressure and a trannytemp.
Thanks guys
Thanks guys
The air/fuel gauge is very useful, but only if it is connected to a wideband O2
sensor. The ones that connect to the trucks existing narrow band O2's are usesless. A good wideband a/f gauge is going to cost nearly as much as all of the others combined.
Do a search of Innovate, and Wideband Commander.
