Bosch 255 Loud?

I have had my new pump in for about two weeks at first it was quiet (ie like stock) but today it started making a really loud buzz noise, typical fuel pump noise but much louder. It cannot be heard from in the cab, but outside it is very noticable, even over the exhaust. Is this normal? Anyone else have this pump, and how loud is yours. Any comments would be appreciated. The truck still runs fine though.

Loud Fuel pump

i have a walbro 190 and it is pretty loud compared to stock. When I get a little under a quarter tank which I generally never let it get that low it it starts to girgle and get even noisier. Also If I step on it with not less than a quarter tank of gas it dies like the fuel is not getting there probably because the gas is sloshing to the back of the tank. Remember these pumps are capable of moving a lot more fuel so they will be a little on the noisey side.

If you installed it to low it will resonate off the bottom of the tank. You'll want to lift it some to keep from starving the pump. Normally they aren't loud at all.

Quiet again! Started it up Saturday morning and it is quiet again? No sound today either. I will check it when I remove the tank, I am having a problem with the float hanging, even at full I only show 1/4 tank. At that time I will investigate to make sure everything is good. I will let you know what I find.
