Magna Charger / PowerWorks Supercharger Released in two weeks.
I would assume that it is becasue you are ramming dense air (more o2) into your engine. AT WOT, your fuel settings are set for Winter AND summer (when the air is less dense). A program that would work well in sub zero temps would be REALLY RICH in the summer. You wouyld need two weather programs, i would think.

The 180 deg rear inlet is over 120mm at it's thinest point, there is no loss there. There is also no jack shaft/power loss. Our system is tuned for reliable every-day power, whether your in Havasu Az. or Anchroage Alaska. To note, we also modify the inner fender well, as we increase the size of the opening to help air flow. I noticed this other system is sucking through the stock hole.
They're both great systems, but I'm more than confident that the Whipple will make a noticable power gain over this system. The screw compressor is more efficient, I would love nothing more than to have some type of shoot-out, dyno or 1/4 mile so we can show the true difference. We've already made over 800rwhp on a modified motor so potential power is also there.
Thanks,
Dustin

Holy thread jacking BatMan! I will tell ya, I spend countless hours beating up the whipplecharged chevys with my chevy.....I would only think the resutls would be the same with my Ford.........Dustin, when all is said and done, I would love to meet up with you for a little drag race.....We just need to make sure its apples to apples.
We could go back and forth all day about whos is better....Lets talk about the package for a minute? What does the Whipple come with? Who is doing your calibration? How was it tested? I bet you 1000.00 there was more testing done on the Magna Charger/ Powerworks system than ANY aftermarket supercharger system on the market. Trust me when I tell you, this is the BEST package you can get for your F-150 PERIOD.

As for systems, we've testing our system for 2 years, we were the first to have one running, the first to get through the drive by wire system and truly have the best calibration. Testing, what testing didn't we do? This was run in Fords envoirmental lab numerous times, -10deg F to 140deg F. Because Ford was involved, we had to prove that the fly by wire monitoring system was fully functional and not just turned off like virtually everybody else. We've had systems running for 2-years, doing track testing at Ford proving grounds. They have thousands of miles of testing from MI, to Lake Havasu, to FL, back to MI. It's been tested at low elevation and high elevation. Were also 50-state, emissions legal, have been for over a year.
Who did the calibration? Umm, I think you need to see who's co-branded the system, their name is FORD. The main calibration engineer is by far, one of thee best calibrators I've ever been around or anybody that you talk to at Ford.
What does it come with, everything needed for the installation. This includes the intercooler, heat exchanger, electric pump, relay harness for pump, manifold, hardware, cold air intake, MAF with inlet venturi, True flow S&B filter, etc.
Thanks for inquiring,
Dustin
Dustin:
Stalemate! Looks like you have gone through the same test procedures and sign off process as Magna Charger and Powerworks. I guess we can both agree that these will be some of the best supercharger systems the public will ever see from the aftermarket!
PS Badillo is a great guy, you are correct

Well this is an interesting post.
I guess since both kits "look" to be pretty similar in performance...
the real deciding factor for many now will be the price- myself included. for the $5,000-6,000k pricetags of the kits I have seen I have highly considered a custom twin-turbo setup with some engine building as well... which we all know would ultimately put out much higher numbers for the same, or little added cost.
any chance either Whipple or Magna would be willing to "up the anti" and offer a group buy to F150online users to put the nail in the coffin?
for me I know it sure is hard to let nearly $6k go when there are other options

Fordtrk, I'll take that $1000 in cash if possible
Badillo is certainly the man, I've gained so much knowledge from him, yet when he speaks, I can't help but think that I must be slightly retarded because it's still way over my head

The new units look great. 5.0 liters!!! You would need a hoss of a motor just to spin that baby!!

The 305's actually don't take that much power to operate, then again, it depends on the power level your going for. One 305 equals the same flow as two W200's.

Thought you guys might like to see our latest creations, our new W305ax and W305r. 5.0 liter per rev, max rpm 16,000.
