Question Fuel Pump Upgrade

Hi all, I was looking at upgradeing my fuel system on my 2001 f150 supercrew 5.4 because I am going to be getting a supercharger setup soon. Probably a powerdyne kit, but maybe a procharger kit if I can find a good deal on ebay. I decided that if I am going to do a supercharger then I am going to do it right which means no fmu. I am going to be getting the 42# injectors, 90mm mass air flow, and upgraded fuel pump, but I am having some trouble picking the fuel pump. Which pump is the one everyone is using? I want one that bolts in place of the factory pump. Also is the install pretty easy? Thanks in advance for any help.

The Walbro 190 lph is adequate, and does not require modification of the in tank fuel pump bracket. LOL

So how much boost will the 190 pump support safely? Also is the 255 pump bolt in or does it require modifications? Thanks all.

The info I have, which is from Troyer performance, is that the 190 lph will support up to 475 hp supercharged, and a little more n/a.
The 190 is slightly longer than the original, but fits without modification.
The 255 requires modification of the bracket, don't know to what extent, as I have not done one. LOL

One more quick question. If I upgrade my fuel pump in preperation for the supercharger install, will my truck run ok with the high flow pump until I get the supercharger? I wont damage my engine by feeding it too much fuel or anything right? Thanks.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I bought a walbro 255lph with mounting kit from ebay for $100. Just got done installing it yesterday. It took me about 3 hours from start to finish. I did it in my driveway with a jack and a couple jack stands. It helped also that I burned most of the fuel out before doing the install, and the tank was not heavy at all. For any one thinking of doing this install it is not very hard, it just takes a little patience when dropping and installing the tank. Once the fuel tank was out, I pulled the old fuel pump and installed the new one. The walbro 255lph does not require any modifications to the stock pump bracket, it bolts right in which was nice.

Yea, I though I was going to have to do a little modification myself, but it fit perfectly, just a little taller than stock, but no modification was required.

I'm running the 255LPH bosch and it was not enough to support my 18psi ported eaton in my Lightning conversion (F150 supercrew with Lightning blower/intercooler system).

Prior to this current setup (12psi), the 255LPH was plenty. I suspect you will be fine with a 255LPH if you don't plan on going much over 400rwhp.

Mike Dunn (http://madenterprise.com) (stated by Brahmus as well) is the place to go for parts and info.
