Exclamation WOT Problem! Help!

I'm not new here and have been reading posts for quite a while...

I've currently had a 6# lower pulley chnage on a SVTL 01 and have since had problems... The car has had the correct tuning and has a CAI by JLP... Here's the problem...

At half throttle the car is normal and has always been... Once im at WOT the car just won't go! It's like someone put a sock in the fuel line! The car begins to shudder and drop... Im getting normal reading's on the boost gauge... I've had all the sprakplugs changed to NGK (Like they were before) It's been like this for about a month and everytime i ask someone no one knows whats wrong! It's not one of the coils cause ive had those recently changed (bout a week ago)

(PS: The problem is only at WOT not anywhere else...)

NEED HELP! SERIOUS HELP!!!

Thanks!

I'm not much on the stock stuff, but sounds like your running out of gas at WOT. Have you got a way to check your 02 sensor readings while you drive? YOu can check for the lean condition that way, like datalogging. Or maybe a fuel pressure tester and a high rpm rev could tell you, although I've never liked that test as it doesn't really replicate real driving parameters well enough.

I had a similar problem on my old blower car. It was fine until I punched it, then it felt like it was going to die. It would even make a spitting sound. The blower setup had a piggyback computer that was programmable. I had new cards made and pulled the timing back. That seemed to fix it. Is this a new install or did it just start happening?

Good luck.

The lightning has two fuel pumps in the tank one may be failing or from what i understand there is a plastic Y in the tank that conects the two pumps that Y is known to fail or come loose. Also ther is a resistor that runs the fuel pump at a lower sped until the system gets to a certin boost then a relay bypasses the resistor to get full fuel flow. Also these trucks are very pickey about fuel line filters only use motorcraft and chnge often. I would check the fuel pressure immediatly a supercharged engine will distroy itself quick with a lack of fuel. Do a search on the lightning forums.

I have had that happen with our setups. Change the fuel filter first... most of the time that is it. If you want to be able to flow alot of fuel put one of these filters on

Also what gap are you running. I had to reduce to .032 with Denso Iridiums when I put on the 10 lb pulley.

I would some how get a wideband in it(dyno/LM1) and check Air/Fuel at WOT, if this all started when you put the pulley on then it sound like it's in the tune- maybe the tune didn't take or something
