Hey Procharger Guys

Anybody know the difference between the 4.6L and the 5.4L crank pulley? Is there a difference.

Not positive, but it might be the bolt configuration.

The bolt pattern on the 5.4 balancer/dampner is different then on the 4.6. It is also a little thicker but that doesn't matter.
I know this because I used a Lightning 2+ crank pulley on my Powerdyne 8 rib conversion and had to change over to a 5.4 dampner.
Good luck and always have fun.

Anybody have a 4.6 Crank Pulley they don't want? Just spoke with Procharger. Apparently the offsets are different. If it's the offset, Shouldn't I be able to put spacers to make up the difference...as long as it's more not less? Recon a new pulley is about $150.00. Wouldn't be that bad of a price, but now I use that much in gas every 2 weeks.

CDB03STX,
Read my post and you will know the difference. It would cost less to get a 5.4 dampner off ebay like I did.

Let me make sure we are on the same page... I have a 4.6 and a second handed Procharger P-1SC kit that came off of a 5.4L. Are you saying that I can change the dampner on the engine and then mount the charger pulley?

You'll have to excuse my "knowledge" of chargers and such. I'm the type that had rather pay someone to work on my vehicles if its complicated...but, this is something I want to do myself...with some online help!

Thanks!!!

Yes you can change the damper on the engine. I got mine off ebay. I think I paid $12 plus shipping. The three bolts that mount the pulley are spaced differently but the center (crank) diameter is the same as is the outside groved (belt) diameter. It will mount directly to your 4.6. Then you can use the pulley you have now.

Good luck.

You can just see the 5.4 pulley in the bottom here with the Lightning pulley attached

This is what it's driving, my 4.6 engine
