What would be the 0-60 MPH?

What would be the 0-60 MPH time of a 2005 F-150 5.4L with the Whipple SC? Or any supercharger that will fit on the truck.

Whipple states that 0-60 time is 5.8sec.
1/4 mile is 14.25 @95.66mph

thats a generous guess. i would think a short cab reg bed truck might be able to do that with a good tune and a good driver. 0-60 times are all about launch.

HI!... Well my reg-cab, sb, ss on stock tires pulls 0-60MPH in 5.4 - 5.6 second range. That's naturally asperated of coarse.

the problem is traction untill you get it, your 0-60 times will never be what it should be a S/C adds a lot of h-power to the rws taking off as fast as u can with out spinning the tires to much is the key so its a hard question to answer the type of tires the track temp its all part of equation.

BullitMcQueen,

Why does everyone think the new F-150's are slow? I can hit a 5.8 0-60mph in my 04 5.4L 3V and I am naturally aspirated.

I have many bolt-ons, like ALOT. But NO BOOST of any kind. Troyer already has a couple 04-05 model RCSB models in the 13's NA.

I know I can hit high 13's NA right now. VERY HIGH 13's.

When my Procharger gets installed, PLEASE. We are talking high 4 second 0-60mph times, maybe faster at the track on DR's.

the whipple site also says that 5.8 time was done in a supercab on street tires. im sure that the driver was good, but i would think that a reg cab with better tires or slicks could do even better

It also says that in addition to it being done on street tires, that traction was an issue. I know my street 0-60 and track 0-60 differ by 5 tenths average.

Care to list your mods or link to somewhere that lists them? I am about to check your gallery (if you have one). Seriously, I am [very] interested in whatever in the hell got you in the high 13's.

I always love explaining to all the naysayers. So, since I have posted this a dozen times before. If you want OLD slips you can go to FTW and check out my gallery. I am running faster than that now. I have not run any new times with my fans, pullies, or Ignition Booster.

Here is a link to my FTW gallery. Look at the dates. I have modded alot more since then. Those are old slips.

Anyway.

2004 F-150 RCSB 2 Wheel drive
5.4L 3V 3.73 gears LS diff (stock)
18" Lariat wheels (ebay purchase)
Toyo Proxes ST 295/45/18 tires (28.5" diameter) vs. stock 30"
- With smaller tires gives me an actual gear ratio of 3.92
Curb weight with 1/4 tank of gas (no spare or tailgate) 4656lbs
Plus me at 245lbs equals a race weight of 4900lbs.

MODS:
Airaid CAI ( fully wrapped in Thermotec insulation)

Magnaflow catback exhaust (Dual in Dual out X-pipe)
-rear cats removed

Excalibrator SCT tuner (Mike Troyer)
-set to 93 octane dragstrip tune (one step up from standard 93 tune)

Plasma Ignition Booster

Homemade ram air tube (Home Depot)

Underdrive Pullies (Purchased from Troyer)

Custom electric fan set-up(75.00 from junkyard)
-Installed dual fans from a 2000 LS1 Camaro using a universal fan switch relay

Best documented 1/8th ET
9.19@75.5mph (this was before e-fans, pullies and Ignition)
I ran this time spinning out of the hole on a 2.03 60ft.

Best G-tech 1/8ET
8.92@77mph (this is with all current mods on the street with a 2.26 60ft.)

Best G-tech 1/4ET
13.98@96mph(same run as above on a 2.26 60ft.)

I am going to run again in a few weeks. It will be with all of my current mods PLUS:
Long tube headers from Pacesetter (all cats will be removed)

Very nice, what does the plasma ignition give you in terms of performance gains? Same question goes for the e-fans.

I hope I can get in the 13's, I plan to lift my 04 Lariat (getting it soon, waiting for a good deal on a black 4x4, sunroof, black int., under 25k). I also plan to supercharge it so that will hopefully make up for the lift. I plan on getting 37" tires, yeah, I know, I'm probably dreaming about 13's but a boy can dream, I don't want to get in the 15's, absolutely not.

Go_dzila ran a 0-60 at FFW in Orlando in March of 3.63 seconds! Not bad for a regular ole F150! lol 1/4 mile came out at 12.46 @ 110 mph

The ignition booster is very small in gains, BUT, it allows for higher octane fuel, better throttle response, and more.

The fans are roughly 10-15 at the wheels. No seat of the pants will be noticed, but everytime I went to the track I ran better times.
