Need help from POWERDYNE S/C users !!!

I really want to install a S/C on my Mark LT 5.4 3v as soon as possible. As far as i know the new Whipple s/c can produce around 475HP without engine mods. Procharger goes around 450hp. The problem is that i wouldn't like to wait more than a month to get one of those. So here goes the question: "IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET AROUND 450RWHP WITHOUT ENG MODS WITH A POWERDYNE ?" If so, how much boost will i need ? And i also don't mind installing the best exhaust system on the market(which i don't know which brand is it) to help reach 450RWHP. Thanks a lot guys.

I would guess that you may be able to break 400hp but probably not much more than that, powerdynes become very unreliable running any more than about 9psi of boost. The procharger is defnitely worth the extra cash

no, the powerdyne is the low man on the totem pole when it comes to superchargers........

my gosh, what are you in such a hurry for? supercharging and tuning can be a drawn out process.........it took me around 6 months to get mine the way i wanted it.

rafa26,
I am running a Powerdyne very successfully as is ChucksBP. As stated, it is good to about 9 PSI and offers good reliable power in that range. The numbers you are looking for CAN NOT BE ACHIEVED RELIABLY WITHOUT TUNING no matter what blower you are looking for.
Good luck.

Hey WLF, how's that motor build coming? Why did you decide not to go with the stroker?

Shane Brown,
The motor rebuild is coming along just fine. I didn’t go with the stroker because of money/timing. I have a coolant leak in the head gasket and with the miles I have on the motor it doesn’t make since to do a head gasket job; so I need the engine now.
It will have forged rods and pistons. I went with the stock crank since it’s supposed to be good to 600 hp in the 4.6. I’m still trying to arrange for Cryo-treatment.
I will have the rotating assemble back from the machine shop this week and start assembly this weekend. I plan to have it installed the last week in August.
