I am waiting on the whipple, hopefully that will outdo the roush (I am willing to bet it will).
Owner of a company, he can afford it, but his is also a 2005 Supercrew Lariat 4X4 with large tires, not too sure on the size but a definete aftermarket. will get more to you when I find out more.

i have a ford efi NX wet kit sittin on my floor if anyone needs one

i personally wouldnt run it with a s/c on a stock motor... thats really pushing the envelope... also i thought i remember hearing that was something about these new 5.4's that limited what you could do with nitrous... but i get the feeling that a 50 shot might be ok.

I believe a lot of people here do it, I hear them say things like, 12#'s / 150 shot. That's 12PSI (S/C) and a 150 shot of NOS, right?

14's are slow. I'm not a chevy fan, but my buddy's truck (92 silverado) runs in the low-mid 13's...that's just with heads, cam and stall. On drag radials too. but still where talking almost 2 seconds here. Temps where a little cooler then. I hope when I get my P-charger installed, I can atleast knock at his back door.

the 3v 5.4 engine will stand about 500 hp and thats a lot for a big truck im not saying u cant get more but after 500 hp you will start seeing some parts failure. what would be the first part to break in the engine? or the trans. the higher the hp#s the more demand u will put on a engine, and on the inside its still a stock engine. so just because u can do a thing does not mean u should do a thing like a 150# shot of n02. most of the f150s are daily drivers the higher the hp the more u will have to work on it thats just a fact. but hey i have a roush s/c i like a fast truck as well. an engine has a design limit dont go over it.

NNNAAAAAAAWWWSSS, MANG!! You're gonna blow yourself to shiat!

Just kidding . I had a 125-shot on my 94 Z28... it was a lot of fun, I just didnt like having to fill up the tank, and get out of the car and pop the hatch to open the bottle valve.

Well, personally if you had the money I'd get new pistons rods and crank and then get like an Iron block and Roush Charger and about a 300 shot of nos.. There was a camaro at the strip who had that just not with a supercharger but he had the 300 shot of nos and he can run 8s in the 1/4 and it's street legal that is bad boy!!

But on the stock engine I don't think I'd do more than 75 shot on the stock engine! and if you have a Chip DO NOT GET NOS!!!

I'm just commenting on the slow times others are commenting on. This is a darn heavy, truck to be puching down the strip. you have got to take into consideration the HP to Weight ratio when you are talking about 1/4 mile times.

Me personnally, for the money you would have in a supercharger, nos, and etc. You could have a fox body with alot better running times. Plus, you could push the envelope because you wouldn't have to push your truck to work on Monday! With that being said once mine is paid off I will probably get a good supercharger put on. Of course that will be a few years and I will have a bazillion miles on it to justify telling my wife it needs a new "rebuild" with all the goodies!!!!!! (rods, cams, pistons, heads, making me )

The only reason to run 14's in the 1/4 on these trucks with a SC is due to weight.

As I have said before, the right set-up is key. I am in the low 14's without power adders (boost). All I have is bolt ons from troyer performance. With a SC'r I will be in the 12's. No doubt.

I already have the Roush setup and the block is already iron. It's the pistons I'm worried about.

Assuming I go with a 75 shot, which is conservative. Which kit is the best for the 3V?
