Fuel Pressure question....
Fuel Pressure question....
For those of you with a Fuel pressure gauge... I have an autometer FP gauge and 255lph bosch intank pump.
I think when i first intalled it and turn the key to "on" the pump would kick on and the pressure would rise and hold.
Now the pump kicks on the needle jumps but falls back to "0". and sometime she has to turn over a few times then the pressure rises and she cranks up. am i missing something? Does this sound right?

My pressure pumps up and holds (I have had the Bosch 255lph for about 1.5 years). My fuel guage is an Autometer Phantom electric.
The regulator is supposed the keep the pressure up. You might check the vacuum line connected to the regulator. It seems that the pump is working fine, which would be good news considering the labor to pull the tank again!
When you actually start the truck, does the pressure go above normal?

I have the stock lightning dual pump setup, and when I turn the key to "on"the pressure rises to 40 then falls to 34# and stays there.I have an autometer fp gauge w/ electric sender
