Really no boost under 3K with Procharger?
Just wondering how much of a HP gain to expect at 2,500 through 3,500 RPM's with the basic Procharger kit. If it's really almost non-existant till 3K plus, I may wait till I can find / afford a used Magnacharger kit or something. This thing without the "Max Performance" tune is DEAD below 3K. That means the only time I'd see much improvment would be when I specifically wanted to ring her out. Might as well do a 100 shot instead. 33's and 3:55's aren't a good combo in a 4.6L 4x4.
Just thinking out loud again. Keep in mind I've never stepped foot inside a blown vehicle.

When I had my procharger on my 99 5.4l. The boost came in alot earlier than 3k RPMs. I was able to smoke the tires at will. With the 9# pulley, fuel mods and a bad tune I put down close to 350rwhp. So the procharger will make horse power at around 2k. When I upgraded to the 12# pulley the boost would hit at 1800 rpm and was scary fast.

My torque peak is 2700 rpm with the Procharger.
It's not as big of a hit down low as a roots/twin-screw, but it is a lot more than stock. And as reve rise, it pulls harder and harder.

Depending on each person's setup some of the answers you get may be a bit biased. It's only natural to feel that his/her own way of doing things is "the best". What I would recommend is to look at the dyno graphs of the different blowers on the market and then decide what is best for your particular application. You may also want to read thru the many various posts here as there is a wealth of information available. Good luck on your decision
