Be Honest

so much debate about the best system, comparisons to JLP and parish truck, built motors, maybe 3.3 whipples,

1.be honest what are your realistic goals or are you already there.

2. is your vehicle an everyday driver?

3. what do you want to spend?

4. does gas milage matter?

5. will you ever buy slicks and go to the track on a regular basis?

for me.

1. i'm there, , truck has 80 k miles and i will be getting something new in a year or 2. i might do a light but not much.

2. drive everyday and i need it to make a living.

3. little as possible ( i have a 1967 galaxie just bought $1000 in disc brakes and i plan to drop about $8k to $10k in the next 2 years, btw i will be shooting for a look 12 high 11 time with this car,

4. mpg is geting old $50 every 6 days is getting old dont want any worse.

5. i will not be putting slick on the truck dosent matter. i will eventually get drag radials for the car, but thats a project and i dont care if it run today or tomorrow. if i have to trailer it, it is no good to me. it wont see rain so the drag radial dont matter

(1.) 500 rwtq. of roots power. I need another 100 rwtq. of roots power. I hope to do so with the lightning swap.

(2.) It is an everyday driver. On average, 35,000 miles a year.

(3.) I wanted to spend a max. of $3000 to get another roots supercharger system AND a fresher engine. I have spent $2600 and need about $400 more in parts and a $200 - $500 dyno burned chip. As cheap as this may sound, I am already $100 over my budget.

(4.) Yes.

(5.) No. I want to go to the track once to get a timeslip after I get the lightning system dyno tuned. But thats it.

I'm done with trucks. I have had a hell of a time with this one, but from now on its cars for me. My next goal is to have a KB swapped 06 Cobra when they come out, or either the new c6 z06. in the 10's that is.

2. is your vehicle an everyday driver? yes. although i have semi retired it and have a beater 88 ranger.

3. what do you want to spend? on what? a haircut? less than 10 bucks. nope, i am done with this truck, the only money i will spend on it from now on is to replace broken parts.

4. does gas milage matter? hell no

5. will you ever buy slicks and go to the track on a regular basis? all ready own them. allready done it a trillion times. you guys know me.

1.be honest what are your realistic goals or are you already there. I'd like to see 400rwhp/500rwtrq

2. is your vehicle an everyday driver? Absolutely......atleast for now put about 14K on it since August when i got it and dropped the motor in

3. what do you want to spend? As much as i can before the wedding

4. does gas milage matter? I'm an engineer for an oil field company so not really it's job security. besides if i'd get a honda I might save a couple Thousands dollars but i'd be in a honda!!! That would make me sick.

5. will you ever buy slicks and go to the track on a regular basis? Not unless they make a 38" slick ........wait they might but no, i want to run at the track a time or two just for kicks, i didn't build this truck to be fast just to be strong!

To have the fastest daily-driven Expedition on teh face of the earth. I figure this goal is so ridiculous, I'll have little competition.

2. is your vehicle an everyday driver?
Yup.

3. what do you want to spend?
As cheap as possible, using quality goods.

4. does gas milage matter?
Not really. Fast vehicle and high MPG don't mix, whether you're talking trucks, cars or whatever. All fast cars get crappy MPG.

5. will you ever buy slicks and go to the track on a regular basis?
I'd like to take it to the track a few times, but I don't think I'll be running slicks.

350 hp and improved torque. Reliability is absolutely essential; 100k miles reliability. Definitely not there!

2. is your vehicle an everyday driver?
Yes

3. what do you want to spend?
$3k or less, turn-key or complete kit

4. does gas milage matter?
yes, currently getting 23 mph but want more tq to pull a travel trailer and "show off to my friends". A small reduction in gas mileage would be acceptable; to drop to 10 mpg would not be acceptable.

5. will you ever buy slicks and go to the track on a regular basis?
No
