Question Lighting Supercharger on 2002 5.4L?

Does anyone know if a 2001 lighting supercharger with all wiring, intake , fuel rails, and injectors will fit on a stock 2002 5.4L? If so will it require changing any computer codes? If it can be done is it worth it? I have found one for around $1600.

If you mean a 2001 "lightning supercharger assembly", yes it will. You must have a computer chip. It is worth it. You have more options with this system, than with any other system or type of system. I am in the process of doing it and many have done so.

You need the lightning lower manifold, intercooler, upper manifold, Eaton M-112 supercharger, intake elbow, throttle body and related fuel lines, 42lb. injectors, wiring harness. This is known as the lightning supercharger assembly.

The 99 and 2000 lightning intercoolers could leak (although you can get a replacement intercooler). The 2001 - 2003 lightning supercharger assembly had no problems with leaking intercoolers.

The 99-03 lightning (and F150 Harley Davidson) supercharger assembly is a DIRECT BOLT-ON for all stock 97-04 F150 5.4 SOHC 2 valve engines. The lightning lower manifold simply bolts to the regular F150 5.4 heads.

You will also need the lightning front engine pulleys, brackets and pulley tensiors as well as the heat exchanger, reservoir, and altenator, etc.

You can find these assemblies from many sources including Ebay (search "lightning", then search superchargers).

www.Madenterprise.com sells a kit specifically for this swap and will gladly provide you with all the technical assistance you will need. The owner is F150online member, "madferraristi". Good Luck!

It can be done and cheaper than some aftermarket kits. $1600 seems a little steep, depending on what your getting. I got a HD setup new off e-bay for $1200 to my door. Complete as in from the Intake up through and including the throttlebody. Then there's all the other parts you need. MAD can help. Forums such as National Lightning Owners Club and the National Harley Truck Owners Club can help with used parts such as MAF and Air Cleaner, fans, intercoolers, etc. Lightning PCM will not work unless you change harness in truck, and transmission and fuel pump system. So chip is the way to go.

What do you have against the '99-'00 and '04 Lightnings? Not to mention the '02-'03 Harley Davidson Edition F-150's???

You might want to post a wtb (want to buy) add in the classifieds

Go to Lightning Rodder Forum 42lbers are all the same as said above. Actually I do have a brand new set, might be interested in selling for the right price. Make me a crazy high offer via PM. You never know.
