I'm trying to figure out what the deal is on my 01 lightning. At first I found out that my intercooler wasn't acting right, (did not bubble all the time), then found a hose from my s/c had been disconnected. (it had sucction to it - a red hose, connected to a metal cylinder on the right hand side of the s/c)

The boost gauge now indicates 0 when I turn the truck off. It used to show VAC. When I turn the truck on the needle used go back down, then rose after I turned it off. I replaced the intercooler pump relay and not much has changed.

So, the intercooler doesn't bubble like I fugure it supposed to...

I dont know. Any suggestions? Anyone had similar difficulties?

 

you can get more advise in the lightning section but do not run your truck with out the intercooler working. make certain the pump is running. i had trouble when i didn't have enough coolant in the tank.
