i am currently under construction doing the same thing and ironhorse is also. the motor is virtually the same except for pistons which makes the swap easier. Some pointers you NEED a chip to make this work and you NEED to go to madenterprise.com and speak to mike dunn he'll hook you up with everything you will need to make this swap a success. just recieved my new "L" long block today can't wait to unleash this puppy. it might help to hang out in the lightning fourm and research ALOT..... good luck. and keep us posted...

.....yeah, what brahmus said. F150 online member, "madferraristi" (Mike Dunn) operates a site called www.madenterprise.com He has already figured out all the details on the lightning swap and even sells part kits for it. He is a good guy.

Yeah, we can really benefit from a lot of expensive R&D and trial and error in the Lightning forum. They also get into some good debates about actual results with the postive displacement systems (roots and twinscrew).
