dyno test results???
I was wondering when you look at dyno test results of stock F-150's with 5.4L V8 the HP is not even 200. I thought the HP on a stock 5.4 2v was 260. Is this b/c the dyno is rear wheel hp? Please explain.
Thanks

go to the list of vendors on this home page and virtually and one of them can get it to you. gregg evans is also on the list and he is the one that manufactures them. they are factory valve bodies that have been "ported and polished" should we say. and have gotten rave reviews on this site just do a search. they will shorten the shift time therefore less slipping in the tranny. it will shift harder though i have not experienced it yet as my truck is still underconstruction. but when it goes back together it will have one. it will also help the 4r70w hold up to the extra hp and torque. oh they run about $225.
The VB will do nothing for HP shown on a dyno. If higher dyno numbers that more closely match crank HP are your goal you have to decrease the losses in the transmission. Fluid coupling losses (torque converter at high RPM), gear losses (sun and planetary gears), and overall rotating mass must be reduced. It is not easy, and you will never eliminate all losses. Even a solid metal shaft has inertia losses.
