12# lower pulley question
12# lower pulley question
when installing a 12# lower pulley on my 97 F-150 (4.6L) for the ATI Procharger, it appears it will conflict with the fan pulley. has anyone had to downsize this in order to get the bigger 12# pulley to fit??
help!!!
help!!!
WSECTION,
It shouldn't interfere with the waterpump pulley. It bolts onto the crankshaft which inturn extends it out past the pulley.
Hope this helps,
Bill
Levi,
I am running the 12# lower pulley. I am in Ft Worth working a contract so if you want to see it first hand let me know. I may have a few questions about the SCT tuner. I just got mine and am in the process of learning the MAF transfer function. Also I had the Lightning MAF, but took it off due to a overrich condition and rolling idle. I think the rolling idle was caused by the richness. The only way I got the A/F ratio down when I had it tuned with the diablo chip by closing the the boost bypass down by 1/2.

Bill,
I sent you an email. You should be able to control any rolling idle with the SCT stuff. I've seen some rolling idle on my truck (when, uh... experimenting
) but it's always been because I'm overrich and the eec was chasing the fuel trims. The maf xfer took me awhile but I finally got it running good. You do need a wideband of some sort though to do it right I think. Your WOT stuff anyway.
