supercharger for 5.4

i have a 2001 ford supercrew and was wondering what the best plan of action is for installing a supercharger. i didn't know if it would be cheaper to get a supercharger off of a wrecked lightning or harley davidson or to just buy one new? i am trying to go for the lightning look even though it is a supercrew and need some info on the subject. i think it would be cheaper to get a supercharger off of a wrecked lightning but if it would be worth the hassle of reprogramming the computer or anything else that would inhibit me from doing the swap. if u have any info please let me know i

There is an active thread on this subject on this forum at https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...hreadid=133348

Read all about it, it is a bit of a can of worms but possible.

crash,
thanks for the info bro, im not really wanting to run radical boost just enough that when i pull up to a harley davidson that i can rev him and blow his doors off. i know ill have to beef up my tranny and rear end to compensate for the extra power. so the procharger is my best bet with putting a supercharger on my 5.4
and still be able to run with lightnings?

thanks for the info its always appreciated

Anybody who has an OE supercharger setup that they intend to install their truck might benefit from the list of parts I have compiled that are necessary.

Send me an e-mail or a PM and I'll share the information with you.
