If would also recommend a better clutch. The OEM clutch will fry in no time with that kind of power. Yes, your post has spawned a few heated discussions.

Cool

HI!... CRASH if you don't think 0.559/0.570 lift are wild for a modular engine, I don't know what to tell you. I've heard these cams on a modded 5.4 and they are pretty aggressive sounding. I would of gone with the stage 3 cams but as you SHOULD know the stock 5.4 rods can't exceed 6200RPM or they will break, period. Since I have stock rods and I set my rev limiter at 5900RPM this won't happen. The stage 2 CROWER cams will actually make power to 6500RPM. The stage 3 CROWER cams will make power to almost 7000RPM. So why would I want to instal cams that I can't utilize 1100RPM and sacrafice low-end power?

Crash, I think he means .559 / .570 lift if you are talking crower stage 2. (unless he got a custom)
I am thinking you have the more aggressive stage 2 designed for a s/c?
the cams are designed with the smaller 4.6 in mind so what is wild in a 4.6 will be more tame in a bigger 5.4.
the modular motor is a different beast because a .503/.535 lift cam would be considered a descent street cam on a 302 but on a 4.6 it is stock. peak hp and torque withe the stage 2 cams on a 5.4 , probably occur lower in the rpm that they do on a 4.6.

HI!... CRASH : What the heck are you talking about? Mabey you responded to the wrong thread? Where are you getting I'm "LAUNCHING" at 6500 rpm? As stated above in my last post. My rev limiter is set at 5900RPM to prevent rod breakage. I also have a 2400 stall converter. So launching is done at 2400-2500rpm and shifts are as follows :

1ST - 5800rpm
2ND - 5500rpm
3RD - 5250rpm.

As for the 5.4 aluminum intake manifold not liking high rpm use. Well I knew that already. It does flow quite well up to 6000RPM in stock form, BUT mine won't be close to stock once I bolt on the heads. You'd be amazed at what it can flow when the RIGHT things are done.

As for my SIG? There's no pic here or on your site, so???????????? If your talking about the one sig pic on truck world, well even a 2 year old can see that was a pic takin during my 52 second burnout video. Traction wasn't the point during that.

HI!... BROTHERDAVE : As I can see, your now trying to cause trouble (once again) here.

You didn't miss anything since it doesn't concern you. But if you should know CRASH got out of hand on his website with me and I had enough of the BULL***** about "MY TRUCK IS FASTER THAN YOURS" mind trip he's on so I decided to leave that site under my own descision. I never said my truck was faster than his or did I ever put down his truck in anyway. What his problem is? I don't know, and don't really care. I've had enough of him. As for what is in my SIG? You figure it out and mabey CRASH will tell you about his new SIG.

Some of us might be interested in Zurboo's post and project, yet as usual we have a flame fest.

Here we have someone willing to take the time for a unique project. Someone who apparently has enough background with turbos to understand the strong and weak points, the risks of not building a stronger lower end, etc. A great project.

Rather than listen to negative flaming, I'd prefer to see the progression of the project at hand. To be quite blunt I could care less what either Crash or Neal are doing, how much it cost, or who is faster. Neither have anything to do with a turbo project.

This isn't day care, but I've seen more kid crap here than I hear from my 4 year old.

Zturbo,

Interesting project. Keep us updated if you can. Even though I have to don my hip waders to get to the meat of the thread, it's worth it.

HI!... CRASH : Well I can see that your still having the same " I HAVE THE FASTEST F-150 IN THE WORLD" power trip going. Let me spell it out for you! I - DON'T - GIVE - A - *****!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How many times do I have to keep repeating myself?????????? I have no interest in YOU or your DAM truck. I never said I was faster than you *NEVER*!!!!!!!!! Nor have I ever put down your truck on any of the boards. Where you got this delusion from I don't know and don't care. As for the ???? marks behind H.P/TQ in my gallery. You still havn't figured it out, man! It was done to **** you off! It has worked so flawlessly that I'm still laughing about it! LOLOLOLOLOL!

As for being banned from your site last year. It seemed the only thing for you to do since I had you in a corner and you had no place to go. The TRUTH always hurts doesn't it. As for the "N/A" thread your started for me, hey I was glad to see it and I was helping out a lot of people. Then you came in and started trouble like normal and I defended myself against the lies. Once again the TRUTH HURTS! That's why when you singled me out once again and started trouble on your boards, I decided to take it upon myself to delete my user name and leave. You need to grow up my friend and soon. And just so you didn't forget what I wrote above ealier......

P.S : The offer still stands for me to pay for your fuel to come up here to WINDSOR for a chat. You take debit, right? lol!

I think you guys need to take this over to the Lightning forum. That's where these kind of pi$$ing contests usually take place. It's funny how in the discussing of horsepower, the testosterone takes over and the ego kicks in and the personal attacks start on people you've never met and who are thousands of miles away.

HI!.... 2000regcab54 *EXACTLY*!!!!!! IMO there is NO pissing contest. CRASH makes more power than me because he has a SC plain and simple. He made over 360RWH.P. I'm not even close to that in my current N/A form. I'm probably about 85-90RWH.P less than that. That's what I'm getting at! Why would I say that my truck is faster when it is obvious, that it isn't. That's what makes his little argument mean absolutely NOTHING!!!!!!!!!

HI!... I am also curious to see how far "TENDERIZER" can be pushed stock before breakage of some kind. It will give me a estimate of how far I can push my 5.4 before I really start to get worried. For me this has been a 4.5 year project in motion. Back when I 1st started building this project I had to create a lot of my own performance parts because they were not available. I was one of the 1ST to go with or create "

- 4.10 gears (9.75)
- twin electric fans
- shift kit
- true dual exhaust
- porting/polishing stock TB and TB ELBOW
- battery relocation
- race built 4R70-W tranny

It's just I've been stuck in the 14's for the last 2 years and I'm ready for a change, and a change is coming, I can feel it. So stay tuned boys and girls, I'm going to see if I can hit a personal goal this up coming spring.

HI!... My personal goal will be well into the 13's in N/A trim with this now getting tired 5.4. It's now got close to 160,000KMS (HARD). DYNO? I don't have a clue, but someday I will drive the several hours to get to the closest one near me. I'm still running my stock 80mm MAF and stock 70MM TB but the TB has been ported to a TRUE 70mm. I've got a 90mm LIGHTNING MAF but we couldn't get it to run properly. Found out later it was a BAD MAF right out of the box. Got another one and it works but need a dyno tune to get A/F's right. That might be this WINTER. I am still running my stock heads and cams. Not sure if I want to instal my FOX LAKE race heads on this engine in it's current state.
