I wonder how many pounds of boost the new for 05 4.6L supercharged Mustang GT's are going to make? 6? 7? 8? I saw a pic of a boost gauge in one of those beasts, but I couldn't tell how high it went. Did anybody see that?

 

Sorry, I found out today that was just a concept. The supercharger on the 4.6 will problably not make it to production.

 

what?........what 05' Gt blower? which blower are you talking about? .....the 05' concept LIghtning is suppose to have a twinscrew blower......the current 03' Cobra uses the M112 with the 4.6 at 8 or 9 psi that makes at least 390 rwhp.

That was what I was talking about. I now know that it's just a concept, and problably will not make production. They'll problably be a souped up version of the 4.6L in the new stangs making about 300 hp, I'm just guessing. Since there is no HP competition for the stang (GM, Camaro, etc...), the supercharger problably wont be available in 05. Sorry for the confusion, just doing a little research and this is what I found.

.........in one sense, it is already in production, since the 03' Mustang Cobra comes from the Factory with a 4.6 that has an Eaton M112 roots supercharger bolted on and making at least 390 rwhp.
