Instructions on install of a 2001 Lighting Supercharger
I would love to get some info on installation of a take off Supercharger from a 2001 Lighting and put it on a 2001 KR Screw. Any info would be great........Scott
Scott... not sure on the answer to your question but, I would encourage you to stop by and check out the KR forum. We're in the process of attempting to pull a 'club' together and we'd love to have you join us as a fellow KR owner.

Jake, after you have the blower, upper and lower manifolds, with intercooler, you're just getting started.
Figure on spending about another $3000 to $4000 (depending on your parts deal) for all of the other bits and pieces, including the 4R100 transmission since the 4R70 won't shift with the "L" PCM.
I'll be able to post a more accurate cost in about two months.

Here is the instructions: Don't waste your time and money.
You need the entire upper of the motor, complete wiring harness, computer, tranny, drive shaft, rear-end, etc. and a ton of know how. I know one who has done it, and I have seen it for my own eyes. He is a ford mechanic, and said it was an incredible pain in the butt. As far as the L guys using a 4r70w, you have to have a drive shaft and a chip to fool the computer, because the 4r100 has additional sensors the 4r70 does not have, and so as soon as you try and drive it, you get check engine light, and the shifts are all over the place.
My advice, buy an aftermarket blower, or just buy a Lightning.
