what type of electric fan setup on ATI

help me out here, I would like to go with the electric fan mod next and I just want to be sure I get the right one. I have the ATI on a 99 4.6L. I realize it is going to have to be a pusher mounted on the front side of the radiator. what types are any of you guys using.

Thanks in Advance

Mike

Just about any dual 16" fans will work. I used two Hayden 16" fans, had to trim a bit of the shroud off to mount them side by side. Also use two separate controllers, one to work automatically and the other hooked up to the A/C circuit so it runs whenever A/C is turned on. Working great for almost a year.

I used dual 16" derale tornado fans. If your cheap you can get by with 2x $5 relays and hook one to ignition and one to AC clutch. I have 2x permacool adjustable units with therm probs, one comes on a few deg sooner than the second and the second is hooked to AC clutch so it will come on if AC clucth does weather its hot enough or not. permacool fans are fine too and with 2x permacool fan adj relays your can get the works for approx $300 depending on the fans ya use.

Most come with mounts that you press through radiator(condenser actually if mounted as pushers) and these work ok. If you take a little time you can probably fabricate something a little more stable and attach it to the crossmembers etc in front of condenser.
