Extreme tunes.

Ok as many of you may have encountered and I am sure many more will as they get the horsepower bug and take their blown trucks to the next level with fuel mods etc is that your rig isnt drivable without a properly tuned chip. I know many places state they can get you a chip that will work with your blower, larger injecters, MAF, TB etc but my experience has been that more often than not the initial tune sent to you is mediocre at best and wont work at all on the other extreme. This means the chip needs to be pulled, sent back to tuner and reburned, shipped back, reinstalled and see what happens. If the tune is good enough for you to get to a dyno you get some A/F numbers and likely repeat the process until you have a nice flat A/F and the truck is running good. This can be an expensive and time consuming process which I for one am getting tired of.

In an effort to expidite this I have looked high and low for tools to either allow us to do our own tunes, or for those that are a bit timid or willing to admit their limits, a unit that we dont have to pull and send out to be reburned to make changes.

I found a couple products which connect to the EEC like a chip but have an interface for a PC which allows tunning via PC without having to remove the chip. This will allow those knowledgible enough to tune their own trucks OR they can have someone else modify the code and simply e-mail them the file which they can upload to the chip. This would save the hassle of pulling and mailing chips etc.

I have contacted these people but only one had any interest in making their product work for use F150/expedition guys however they are interested to see how much interest their would be in the product first. To find some info on the product please visit sctuner.net and if you have an interest then please post in their forum on the thread I started expressing interest via the link below. If possible include truck make, model, year and EEC code.
