The wheels and tires take it over the top for me, but you should chip it and do an exhaust for good measure.,,,,98

Wittom,

My own view of a "true" sport truck would be a Ford Ranger singlecab, flareside, that has been lowered, has a stiff suspension, short wide V or Z rated tires, standard transmission, at least 12 to 1 constant ratio steering and the most powerful engine I could stuff under the hood with the most mods. yet street legal (sort of). It would have a short wheel base and set low to the ground for the best street handling, and a power to weight ratio that favored the power!

Iron Horse, I have to agree with you. If I had the money (I feel like I say that at the beginning of every sentence!) I would love to get a hold of a late model Ranger. A DOHC, supercharged 4.6/6-speed would do just fine.

Well, I'll keep playing the lottery and sleep often, so I can at least dream of all the cool stuff I would like to do.

Wittom,

Soon, with very little extra cost, you will be able to obtain maximum benefits from your investment in your Magna supercharger kit. Seriously, you will be able to run with ATIs and Lightnings as well as have the ability to truely "white smoke" your tires at will........trust me.

.....well I say soon, however, if the "drag chute" (parachute) pack trailer hitch bracket snaps on me, it might take just a little bit longer.......

If you have a Ford F-150 and you think your truck is a "sport-truck" I hope it has the Lightning tags on it's shoulders or else, I'm sorry, it isn't.

Well, that's that. Since the Lightnings don't post here, this Forum should be completely removed. We should start fresh with a new Forum that is properly labeled.

I suggest:

'Sport Truck - in my mind'

(Thanks for setting us straight, SmokeShowJoe. If we put the 'in my mind' disclaimer on all posts, would we be violating any truck talking etiquette rules that you know of?)

Okay, so now Lightnings are the only ones allowed to be called Sport Trucks?? What is your problem? I'm sure YOU are the only one who appreciated your comment. Now run along to the L forum and stay there please, thank you!,,,98

sport = An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively

Truck = A wheeled platform, sometimes equipped with a motor, for conveying loads

So, a "Sport Truck" is a truck equipped for racing, having a low center of gravity and steering and suspension designed for precise control at high speeds.

That is my deffinition of Sport Truck. If you dont like it, that is ok. But take this warning, sleep with one eye open, you never know what will apear from the depths of your closet,,,,, MUAHAHAHAH

And if you like my definition, that is good. :thumb

.... ok, I have to be assertive.

Raoul, I'm going to post here and I don't care what you say! OK?

SmokeShowJoe, I wish you had told us this a long time ago. Now I feel like I've wasted my money. I thought it might be a bit more original and wanted to tinker but if I had known the rules....

Well, I guess I'll load up the ole F150 with some pigs (I'll have to rig up some sealt belts or something, this trucks kinda quick) and putt on down to the slaughter house to get out some of my new found aggresion. If only I knew!

From now on my truck is a sport truck...
in my mind
in my mind
in my mind
in my mind

Can mine be a sport truck, too? PLEASE! I've got a wing on the back. That's gotta count for something (at least 20 HP).
