lock differential

Has anyone installed locking gears on their 2013 f150 3.7. I think we have the 8.8 rear end.

Haven't installed a locker, but an OEM Traction Lok differential is very simple. You can get a new one from Ford Racing, or a used one and rebuild it with the Mustang Cobra clutches.

I know they also offer locking differentials. If you stick with the Ford Racing parts, you're most likely not going to need to change anything other than the differential itself. If aftermarket, you will more likely need to adjust the backlash with shims.

And yes, your truck should have the 8.8" 31-spline axle. Soak up all the research you can. I posted about my rebuild recently. May be some helpful information in there for you.

No problem. You may find more answers in the "Other drivetrain" section.
