3/4 drop options

what are the options for dropping my 2013 f150 reg cab swb stx in a 3/4 combo? I prefer to maintain a little rake from front to back for a hot rod look, so that's the reason for not doing a 3/5 or something like that.

i've seen flip kits with lifting shackles that would get the 4" in the rear, but i'm a little unsure how to net 3" in the front. i want to maintain stock ride quality and be able to pull my 19ft runabout this summer w/o bottoming out the suspension.

i posted a similar question in the belltech specific thread, but i want to hear about other options.

i searched for 3/4 and didn't really find much, thanks.

You can set the front drop using Belltech struts. As far as a flip kit, I think McGaughys is the only company that makes a 4" drop flip kit. That's including a lifting shackle AND a lifiting hanger. None of the other companies use a lifting hanger, and that's why their drops are closer to 5.5" in the rear.

Also, without additional support from airbags, you will be very limited on how much weight you can have in the rear or on your hitch.

And just FYI, the pic in my signature shows my truck. It's also a regular cab STX and I have it lowered 2" all the way around and have maintained the factory 2" of rake. I'm also using Firestone airbags in the rear for when I haul or tow heavy loads. I constantly getting compliments from strangers wherever I go. Everybody assumes it's a fast truck and came from the factory looking that way. I wish I kept some pics of how stupid the truck looked when I bought it for comparison.

i went with the mcgaughy's 2/4 kit.

i also cut 1/2 coil off the front in addition to the spring relocators, and installed the rear flip kit and a set of air ride air bags for when i pull the boat

That looks good! I'm a lifted guy, but these mild drops look best to me.

hey thanks. i would actually like it about 1" lower front and back, but to get there would require a lot more work. i had to remove the spacer from on top of the carrier bearing also to get the rumble out of the drive train.

You could just fill the gap with bigger wheels

But yeah, I'm all about work to output and cost to output ratios, and going more than 3" in the front does require a lot more money and effort. Lifting can mess stuff up and require modifications to non-suspension components, but when vehicles get dropped (especially slammed), all sorts of weird adjustments and tweaks are needed. 2/4 and 3/5 or so looks good and is reasonable, but anything lower and it gets crazy. Soooo funny when people lower 4x4s haha

that's actually why I went to the 20" wheels. they take up about 3/4'' that the original 18's don't fill.

Good call, I was just kidding. I hate 24s with tires that don't protect them from getting bent.

20's are big enough. i prefer to have some sidewall still....and even if i screw up and hit a chug hole, less chance of ruining a wheel.

and i got a steal on the wheels and tires i think. tires, wheels and sensors with about 10k miles on them....$1k

I have heard Belltech now makes a 4" rear drop using flip kit and hangers, anyone have any experience with it?
