Sad day yesterday

Sad day yesterday, this was a difficult business decision for me, I wanted to sell my truck to buy a new one to bag, but figured there is a bigger market for lifted trucks. Also for the time being, the Chevy (offroad truck) recently developed a knock, so this is our offroad toy for now, as well as my daily driver for my 12 mile drive to work.

Did it all with parts I had on the truck already. 2" spacer in the front, and 1" lifting shackle in the back. Got some tires off craigslist, 315/70/17 mickey Thompson Baja claws on the stock wheels.plasti-diped the wheels and bumpers. Had to remove and put the stock spindles, lower control arms, struts, coils, and leaf springs.

Not a bad looking truck if you ask me. It's aggressive, but not tacky. I actually prefer how you have it now compared to before. It was too low for my taste and needs as a truck.

Well done, sir.

I think a stock truck appeals to a wider market. Lifted or lowered makes people think it had been beat on and most people don't want to buy an altered vehicle

Did you ever get around to swapping the rotors and bearings out?

Yep, that is also when I found that while I was beating the stock control arm back into my truck my dad put the lift spacer on the drop coil/strut and gave to me to put in...I was wondering why the passenger side was 2" lower. This is why I like to work alone....also see bellow for more evidence of why I like working alone

3rd time this side has been dissembled...

And to make things worse a couple days after lifting it Patman sent me this...

Here is the rear shock that my dad put in...

There we go, it's a real truck now! but it is extremely ironic that the lowering specialist just lifted his truck haha. And if you think about, you just got an 8" lift out of coil spacers and stock parts!

That was the joke I was playing on everyone at work, told them I was getting a new offroad truck with a huge lift on it.

Yeah, well hopefully with it lifted I can sell it easier, and then I will get a new truck. That one will be lower than this one was....
