Due to the design of the suspension I would only recommend a 3/5.5

hi-rev 08-20-2012 08:43 PM

Y is that

McDuff 08-21-2012 10:59 AM

I need a drop shackle for a '12 F-150 SCrew 4x4. I would like it to have a 1" and a 2" drop choice. Have anything like that?

Anything more than 5.5" will require a custom c-notch.

04+ Ford F-150 4WD 2"-4" Belltech #6409 $94.70

McDuff 08-21-2012 02:12 PM

Thanks, but I think I need a 1", there is only a 1" diff between front and rear height, am doing a 2/2 by switching shocks and lift block. Wanting to get that last 1" to level her out, but don't want any sag look.

T_S_S 08-21-2012 02:15 PM

#6425 is the 1" shackle by Belltech same price

McDuff 08-21-2012 08:20 PM

Cool, thanks. Just placed an order for the 6425.

hi-rev 08-21-2012 10:15 PM

I am not sure of a way to achieve this and maintain factory spec'd alignment.

Paulb04 08-22-2012 10:38 PM

TSS, What is the biggest drop that I can do on my 2011 4x4 without a flip kit? I have the 2" belltech shackles already, but would like to bring it down more. Can you please also include pricing with your suggestion.

Thank you

Thank you

I am showing a max of 3" by using Belltech part number 6409.

The design is different. I believe the saddles and transmission spacer are different. The new design correct pinon angle and centered the rear wheels.

lowering my 2011 F150 Harley

Hey can someone tell me the best way to lower the rear of my Harley Davidson truck so that it is level with the front end, after reading through the threads i assume that a 2'' drop shackle will do the business i just need this clarified.

This is not a method that we have tested so I cannot say yes or no. Maybe see if another forum member was successful with this method.

Yes the 2" shackle is the best method.

I am dropped 4.5 in the front, and never had to elongate my alignment holes. I did have to cut the tie rods though. The key is using the Belltech drop spindle along with another drop component, whether it is coils struts or control arms.

Check out my thread stickied to the street scene section....

Which shocks are included in the new BEL-970SP-2? I Have a 2010 Harley Davidson edition with AWD and am looking for ride quality and handling more than a dropped ride. After 55k miles its time for an upgrade.

Belltech Lowering Struts in the front and Belltech Street Performance in the rear. These are a good improvement over OEM. Most of our F150 customers who have purchased this same kit have shared their experience and love it.

I recently purchased this 2011 F150 Ecoboost as my daily driver and track car hauler. What a fantastic truck but, as usual, I couldn't leave well enough alone.......

Purchased my Belltech 3/5 from the Suspension Source and it is now installed. Rear leveling Airbags will be done in a couple of days.

I have a question and I can clarify, I have a 2997 FX4 Crew Cab, I decrease the height to seek greater control and stability, now, a complete kit Belltech give me this improved control and stability or is it just to make it look better. Regarding the KW coilovers, justifies the price difference with the results obtained? , Or is it just advertising. A kit that has Drop Spindle, springs and dampers Street to that level of stability and control take me? . The decrease is the maximum?. That's the best that I recommended but of both worlds.

Leonardo Agueci 05-04-2013 07:33 PM

Ok sorry, it's 2007 and not 2997. This dark where I am writing.

What is your number 1 goal with your suspension? In some cases the coilover it overkill. But it varies on what your goal is.

Leonardo Agueci 05-06-2013 12:41 PM

Ok, what I want is a more stable truck, which is handled better in curves and straights and much better than the OEM, you feel the difference, ON ROAD road always remember is FX4, I have Bilstein HD front and rear, see in forums that you have more respect is Kit 2/4 Belltech shocks with Eibach Spring Street with Eibach Shock. Currently I have 315/70R17 tires and, for reasons of the area where I live 285/70R17, the 275/55R20 are 32 "and 285 are 32.7", ie 3/4 "should not present additional problems. No find anyone with kit KW Variant V3 coilovers, not sure if you need that expense to travel on the road and have a better command of my truck, so traveling at 200 KPH, there is my question. Nor is whether installing a KW coilovers V2 is much better than the Street Kit Belltech or Eibach. Here is where my question and request that help to define to do. avail to ask why install a DROP SPINDLE and if I can do the struts too. Advantages and disadvantages . Thanks.

T_S_S 05-06-2013 01:33 PM

First I would add a Belltech rear sway bar. That will help with the handling a bit. The KW coilover is the better option however it can be a bit overkill. You will find better performance in the Belltech Lowering Strut over coil springs.

Leonardo Agueci 05-06-2013 02:18 PM

I have a rear sway bar, but all are people using kit Belltech, Eibach, etc, only what they accomplish is your truck lowered, there is a significant improvement and stability control?.

T_S_S 05-06-2013 04:15 PM

It is all a matter of personal opinion really. Cruise around the forum and f150forum.com

Leonardo Agueci 05-06-2013 06:45 PM

The problem is that I can not get a personal opinion because I've never driven a truck lowered, from there I go to those with experience, what happens is that, as I mentioned, in forums all have lowering kit, can not get anyone with coilovers, and I can not get an idea and persuade me to spend 40 or 50% more, if you guarantee me a kit, for example, Belltech, with struts, shocks street, etc, will give me what I expect, what buy and now, but I need that experience that convinced me. I hope you understand my point and apologize. We therefore discuss, V2 coilovers are better or worse than the struts street?.

T_S_S 05-07-2013 11:36 AM

I cannot guarantee that it will give you the result you are after. I am sure it can but guarantees only get me in trouble. lol

Is there a 2/4 kit available for a 2010 harley 4WD?

If you've got the time, I'd love to see the pictures. I'm having a hard time imagining what the HD would look like since it doesn't have the same stock stance as other 4WD trucks.
