Flip kit - DJM or Belltech?

Ok, I've been doing a lot of reading on here about drop kits. I know I want a 3/5, maybe 3/6 (if I can get away without notching), but still not sure which flip kit to go with. I see that DJM's and Belltech's kits are both pretty commonly used. Which is better? Or are they the same? I think I'm set on the belltech struts for the front.

First off you can do 6" without a notch but you will bottom out on the frame on big bumps. I highly suggest the DJM kit because it has adjustment for pinion angle, if you decide to go lower you can adjust the pinion angle if needed, belltech you would need shims. I drove around with 6" rear drop for a while and it wasn't too bad bottoming out but now that I notched it I don't have problems even being dropped 8" in the back.

Also being a regular cab you can probably get away with the 6" rear drop since the truck is lighter but still has the same springs.

Yeah I may notch it down the road, but if I can get away with 6" in the back that would be sweet. I think i'm gonna need 6" to be completely level. And like you said, maybe I won't have any problems being a reg cab.

Also, I will probably add some air bag assist later on.

I like the way your truck sits. Looks good!

DJM was good when I had it on my 06. Just get the angle right or you'll have a vibration. I adjusted my flip kit because of a light vibration at low speeds, was not noticable at high speed due to the drive shaft straighting under load... was good after adjust. Good luck.

Can't go wrong with the SP shocks. Had them with my drop, bottomed out truck a few times when over loading... compression and rebound were still good after a few thousand miles (i think 60k-70k)...

Where are you guys getting your djm flip kits? Not many people seem to have them.

Who is he? Does he have a website?... Summit shows the kit with free shipping but says it won't ship until 9 July. Everyone else (not many) seems to have the same price but wants $30+ to ship.

This is the kit I need right? For a 5" or 6" drop.

yep that's what I have.

it's a 5" if you use the complete kit.
6" drop if you keep your oem shackle.
