Shock question

Hey guys,

I'm going to have my shocks replaced this spring. I can't drop the truck now, but I'm going to have my buddy install the 2" GF shackles and shims I have when the shocks are done. I want the truck to have a nice firm handling like a sport truck without the drop right now. I run 285 50 20s with my Roush wheels I run 8-9 months out of the year. Is there a performance shock that I could run for a sportier ride? Stock length obviously. And if so, is their life the same as regular shocks? I plan on adding a rear sway bar eventually to keep body roll down. I don't drive the truck hard by any means, but I hate how these trucks roll on exit ramps. I want it to feel anchored to the ground. If they made a 1-2 drop I'd be all over it but I don't think one exists.

My bad, 1" front and then my 2" shackle rear. I think that would be a nice compromise since we get snow. 1" would bring the front down some and then just have my shackles out back.

You can use the belltech struts up front. They are adjustable from 0"-3" drop. very user friendly.

So I can use them with stock coil springs? Front and rear to replace my stockers then run my 2" GF shackles? They'd be he same length as the 2wd motorcrafts?

Alright here's what it appears I can do. The Belltech site says these shocks can be used stock, lifted or lowered. I found this from last year:

https://www.f150online.com/forums/st...-1-2-drop.html

To get a 1" drop in the front, do I need to do it with new springs? I love how that truck sits and it would be perfect for DD and cost effective for me.

Yep, that's my '06. Been almost a year and everything is good. Wish the Belltechs had a little more compression damping in the front, buts that's probably just me. And now I want it lower, but the Centerlines have too much offset to really drop it.

Perfect, looks like I will finally have a dropped truck Thanks for all the help guys! Between that and a rear sway bar the truck should handle awesome.

And do the belltech's up front? The rear will have stock length shocks except for the shackles
