Exclamation

Why would you ever want to do that? First of all, your truck is 4x4 or 4wd, not fwd which is front wheel drive. STX is purpose built for off-road handling and agility. Lowering it will definitely alter those characteristics, most likely for the worse. I'm going with a larger tire and for starters, I had to get a leveling kit so the bigger tires wouldn't rub my wheel wells. I'm adding massive 3" wheel spacers and Fiberglass fenders with a 4" flair or bulge to allow the wheels to fit in there without rubbing the inside fender (wheel well). Take a look at my STX. It's a very capable off-road truck. Your better off making more off-road like trophy-truck or prerunner style (Cali Style to everyone who doesn't live here). High speed off-road! That's mostly opinion, but you really might damage your ride trying to lower it and stuff those beastly wheels in there.

Thought we were over what? Comments? It's a forum guy. I was trying to to give a legit answer to a legit question. I was being polite. I like low F-150s on big wheels. STX 4X4 is not the best choice to do it with. Do [I]you[I] think it is the best truck to drop? Because if you do, you might have a learning disability...

I'm only doing a 3/5 drop... its not like i'm wanting to bag it and drag the frame. All I want to do is give it an aggressive street stance. The only reason i have a 4x4 is because i want some extra help on snow covered roads and the only off roading that i do is driving out into a field on weekends to go shooting with my friends. Its MY truck and ill do what i want with it. That being said, you have an opinion and i respect that, but i wasn't asking for yours.... I was asking other members that have an interest in lowered trucks, that's why i posted in the STREET SCENE forum...

I agree with the lowered 4wd. Ill be doing it to my 08 lariat very soon. I got a set of 3" belltech front springs and will remove the 2" rear blocks and 2" rear shackles.
