ONE_LO_SVT's Build Thread

56k Beware. Tons of Pics. Tried to keep them in order as best i could.

So I'm just copying and pasting my build threads from Lightning Rodder. So some text and info is dated a few years. I will keep this current as I finish off the remaining mods

As of right now I'm still in the process of Installing Accuair E-Level.

I just stripped and painted my rear frame and suspension.

Need to wire up my two Odyssey 1200 batteries.

Narrowed my rear end 4.5" to fit my 24x10's, swapped factory rear brakes for a Wilwood 12.1" rotor 4 piston caliper kit, and swapped the fronts for the 14" Wilwood 6 piston TCE Kit.

Also have to install my Michigan Metal Works Upper and Lower Control Arms with Jeebus Joints.

Also have the bed off at the body shop getting the molded bedrails reworked. Once back I'm ordering a Wood Bed Floor Kit to compliment the airbrushing.

Future plans may include a built motor with a Turbo setup or a 2.3 Whipple, all for looks really, but would be fun to lay down 500-650hp.

Enjoy.

well not as many updates as i had hoped. But it is getting their.

Bed is gettin its final touch up before paint, body is ready to be shot hopefully this week, then bed goes on to get shot. Then everything comes back apart to do the graphic/pinstripe then all back together. Feasibly it should be completely painted by the end of the month. But i'm not holding my breath.

Door panels are out getting glassed for some 6.5's and we're removing the pocket at the bottom of the door and gonna do a little insert to match the seat. and as soon as the paints done the truck will go to the interior shop. Still very much hope to have it at downtime painted, interior wrapped, and hopefully engine bay done, then Spring Fling completely done with the rest of the sound system and glass and the engine bay all polished out.

here's some pics how she sat today. I LOVE THE DOORS!!!! and the green paint comes alive in the sun, really happy with my choice cant wait to see the cab sprayed.

well he got the whole truck painted. But we have a few issues. The bed rails, are warping in the sun, its the urethane heating up, so the bed rail looks wavy. The only thing i can see being done is cutting them out and fiberglassing the rails which we prolly should have done in the first place. But i really want the truck back and cant stand having it or the bed their for more months. So i may pick up a tonneau cover, as much as i dont want to, but it would still look good, just need to find the right cover.

Only other issue is the curve in the two tone towards the grill, i feel its a little too flat, needs a little more curve to fit the flow of the fender. What do you guys think? and i got my new wheels, their out getting polished now. well we're Almost their! Next he just has to fix the curve if we decide too, wetsand the whole truck, paint the graphic, re clear and we're done!

and my new wheels 22x10 Boyd Fury's

here's some pics.

Still a bit of shop dust on it, tires/wheels/bed need a clean. Forgot to lay the emblems on to see how they looked until the end, and like a said no interior.

and still dont know what to do for the license plate, just bolted it there temporarily to get home.

heres the pics

Don't be too harsh (-:

most of the interior is in. Still a few pieces to button up, and still have the dash bubble and everything that goes with it to get painted the top green this week.

Door panels will be in by the end of the week we're hoping. And Measurements will start at the end of the week for the sub/amp enclosure.

And when i go to pick up the painted pieces once there done, we'll pull the old steering wheel and install the billet one as well as all the many billet pieces to be installed from Billet and Acrylic.

and Really have to give props to Tom @ Billet and Acrylic!!! not only are his Pieces ALOT cheaper than chickenears and the quality the same, but his turn around time is sooo fast! he custom made me a set of Door sills with my Club name "AFTERMATH" in a day, all for 99 bucks!

here's a few pics to give you a idea on how its going to basically look. Not trying to have a ridiculous interior, just subtle and clean, doors with have one fiber glassed 6.5, 2 12's for behind the sit with the amps in the middle and another pair of 6.5's on either side, and my 3 gauge radio pod from Steve.

and this is just the start to my engine bay
