Ok, I keep hearing good things about these Belltech struts. I'm guessing that you use the stock coils with them?? I want to drop at least 3" in the front. Do these "stiffin" up the ride any? I would like to stiffin up the suspension at least a little because I hate how the truck handles/rolls on turns. I know that with the truck being lower will help with this, but I just don't know if it will be enough if I'm using stock coils.

Get 2" springs and set the struts at 1" if your looking to get a stiffer ride than Factory. The Belltech struts ride similar to factory since your keeping all your factory components.

I thought Belltech recommends not using drop springs with the drop struts? I remember reading that in the installation instructions.

I can say that the Street Performance shocks/struts are valved stiffer than the OEM units. They control body motion MUCH better. It will have the truck riding firmer on smaller bumps but still compliant on the bigger stuff since you are utilizing the OEM springs.

You can run a drop spring with the strut as long as you do not go more than three inches.

I think I'm going to go with just the struts for now and see how I like the ride, since I can still go 3" with just the struts. If I want it firmer, then I can just get the coils later.

It looks like Belltech just makes one flip kit for the 04-08. I'm looking at this one. Would just buy the shocks to go with.

But then there is this kit. Has everything, drop struts (25001), flip kit (6440), SP shocks (2212EE). Nevermind the picture on this one. It's not right.
I figured up that I would spend almost exactlly the same if I bought the components separate.

What do ya guys think?

Here is the final results.....1.25" drop in front using the Belltech drop struts and moving the shackles to the upper hole for the 2" drop. I ended up using the OEM rear shocks as the truck only has 800 miles on it and they are still new. I still have yet to receive my bed mat and that is about 70 lbs. according to the FedEx waybill. That should lower the rear a bit more as well. I was thinking about removing the overload leaf but have decided against that.

Crappy cell pics:

I have them on the 2" drop setting and they ride great. Firm and cut way down on that typical truck bounce. My buddy that does the work on my truck said he's never driven a truck that drives as nice as mine. Great shock!
