Drop kit Qs

I was originally planning on buying a used belltech 3/4 drop kit, but the guy sold it. I was gonna get it for $200. (springs, shackles, hangers) Im looking at this kit. $300. Quality of this kit? And is a 2/4 good look? I dont want the rear to sag. I want the truck to be 100% level.

I've got the 3/4 belltech on my truck. Good kit, no problems. I'd say go with quality, you don't want your springs to bust in East LA or something. I almost went with a smaller drop but decided I would regret not going lower later on (that didn't work, I still want to drop another inch all around). I've got a slight rake too, I'm not level. with a 2/4 you'd probably be level.

If I were you I'd just go with a 2" drop spring or spindles, and JLP makes a 2/3/4 drop shackle. Prolly total around $300.

I previously used a 3/5 kit on my 01 and loved it. I bpought it from stylin and it came with belltech springs and djm for the rear.

I have the beltech 3/4 on mine. Love it. I dont have hardly any rake at all, maybe half an inch. Was worth the money, and the Street Performance shocks are amazing. Only thing i have against it, the oem hangers were a pain to ge toff

Must be the added weight of my supercharger bringing my nose down

Did you use drop springs to get that 5" in the rear, jsvo?

Im so torn on what to do! What do you suggest I do? I honestly dont want to spend more than $350. And I dont want any issues! I was suggested on Lrodder to Cut springs, shackles and pull a leaf in back... New shocks all around.

If you can score the leafs from the Lightning and some 2-3" drop coils from another company (Eibach or Belltech) you should be set.

My entire drop has cost me under $250 (not including shocks).

If you want to keep everything the same brand/etc then I would say go with a kit.

What year do the leafs have to be from the L to get that 2" drop? I can keep my 2" drop shackles correct? And the ride will be better with that setup vs. going with hangers?

Just scored BELLTECH PRO COIL DROP SPRINGS PN 23804 from Ebay for $80.00 shipped. Used but in perfect condition. Half way there! Now...hangers...or Leafs from an L?

Get a set of 99-02 leafs if you can find them with a decent number of miles. but 03-04 leafs will give you a drop, just not as much.

Nice score on the coils! Do they have the spacers with them? I just did a quick search for that PN and it seems that they yield a 2" drop if the spacers aren't used...(reference--->http://www.nhtoc.com/vbforum/suspens...l-options.html)

I emailed him to ask if spacers come with. 99-02 leafs will give a 2" drop? Theres a guy in vegas that has leafs from his 03 but thats a 10 hr round trip for me. I may just go with hangers if no one wants to ship the leafs. Well see. So thats all I will need? Also was told I need a camber kit.

You will need to get the camber bolts from Ford. PM Patman and he may be able to tell you the exact part number.

As for the leafs, the 99-02 will gives you about 2", and 03-04 leafs will give you around 1-1.5" (I got closer to 1.5")

If you can find a deal on a set of hangers for around $80 used, get them.
