I ordered a set of belltech lowering struts for my 2005 Super Cab. I am debating on using the 3 in drop coils with the struts dialed in for a 1/2 drop to make a 3.5" drop or use the stock coils with the struts dialed in for a 3" drop. Does anyone know what the ride quality would be like using the drop coils and belltech strut vs. the stock coil and belltech strut? If i drop the truck down to 3.5 drop up front would it clear my 295/50/r20s? Thank you for any opinions.
y didnt you just get the djm 3.5 inch lowering lower control arm and you could have gotten your 3.5 inch drop and not have given up much ride quality
I have a djm 3 inch drop spindles and rear flip kit on my 2013 and it rides like stock. Much lower (front valence scrapes) but never bottomed the rear out. I absolutely love it! Super easy to realign the front also! Go djm you won’t be disappointed
My F150 Screw is running Belltech Street performance shocks, spindles and coils up front and custom leafs from airbaggit and belltech shackles in the rear. My expedition is running Doetsch Tech springs and shocks. I know from experience that the belltech's run very firm compared to the doetsch tech's.
That expedition looks GOOD! So here’s the thing. With a shorter coil they have to up the spring rate (i.e stiffer spring) so keep the truck from bottoming out. That’s why I went djm. Same struts and springs and same price if not cheaper. I put a pic of my truck. Djm 3 inch in front. Rear flip kit. Just for refrence
