Wanting to lower a littel bit... Any advice or help?

A little about the truck... It's an 08 FX2 pic in my garage. At the moment I have 22's, but will soon be upgrading to 26's. I want to lower it slightly, but if I can't lower it as little as I want to with the 26's I'll settle for 24's with a slightly more aggressive drop.

I'm rather new to the truck scene, so I'm not as familiar with what I will have to do in order to drop it as for a car I would.

I found this EIBACH kit... I was wondering if I'd have to get a set of shorter shocks too. The EIBACH kit says its adjustable from 1" to 4.5"

With big wheels like that I would recommend a 2" FRONT 4" REAR. That way you close up some of the fenderwell gap. Depending on the size tire you go with you might be able to go alittle big lower.

Let me know if you need pricing.

With 26s on a NBS truck, a 1" front 3" rear drop would be able all you could do, in my opinion, depending on tire size. and that may be pushing it without doing any tubing or trimming.

If you are willing to stock to 24s, what TSS stated would be your best option. A 2/4" would give you the best range of motion, withough having to worry about rubbing or anything of that nature. But again, it all depends on tire size.

Thanks for the info.... I believe I have changed my mind about 26's... I like the more aggressive look. What would be a level setup where front and rear sat even with 24's?

2/4 will look nice and still give you plenty of room with 24s (depending on tire size).

A friend of mine is running 28s with a 2/4.
You can do it, you just have to baby it and thats not really worth it in my opinion. 2/4 on 26's or 2/6 on 24's.

Here it is with 26's.

2/4 on 28s is just dumb. 3 point turns to even get in parking spaces. those are some nice *** wheels tho.

and the 24s looks good. few guys on here lowered on the 23s as well

Yeah, I knew he was in Alrington, and I think I remember asking him if he still had it.

That was a sexy truck.

I got a set of wheels, a bedrug, and a tire same diameter as my current tires from him. He's a good guy.

You need to go 1" lower, Will.

Make up for the sleestak gap.
