Real Harsh ride with Eibach 2/4

I'm running the Eibach 2/4 kit with Roush/Bilstein shocks. These shocks are from the Roush 2/3 lowering kit. Ride is EXTREMELY rough over ANY bumps or "problems" in the road at any speed over say 20mph, compared to factory stock suspension. Seems to bounce too much to over the dips on freeway. I've got Yoko 285/50 on 20" factory wheels. I'm almost ready to go back to the factory stuff, but I'd rather try to solve this.

Any ideas on how to improve this bad situation?

The bounce could be because of your rear shock length and dampening. If they were designed for a 3 inch drop and you put a 4 inch drop that inch can make a difference in ride quality.

upgrade to the belltech street performance shocks in the rear that most of us are running now. ride quality is unmatched by any other shocks out there for lowered F150s. might want to also consider upgrading to the belltech lowering struts for the front. they utilize the factory springs, are adjustable from +1" to -3" from stock, and also ride like a dream.

So do you think I should get rid of the Eibach front drop coils, put my factory coils back in and buy the Belltech shocks for the front and the rear while Im at it too? Or is my problem most likely just the Roush shocks? I don't know which route to take, and I'm tired of spending money

i think you should remove the eibach front drop coils and replace them with the factory springs. then buy the belltech drop struts for the front and the belltech "street performance" shocks for the rear. call belltech directly and they will tell you the exact part # for the SP shocks in the rear for the amount of drop you have.

Eibach pro damper kit. I'm running it with a GF 2/4 and the ride is perfect. They match well.

Mismatching stock coils up front with stiff drop leafs out back is not a good idea.

is the bounce in the front and back, or just the front?

It bounces like an '87 Civic hatchback with badly cut springs. Doesn't seem to be front or back, just overall. It just plain bounces too much through the dips on freeway. I can't believe its all a shock issue, but maybe it is.

I've always heard drop bilsteins ride very rough. Read it here a few times.

If you want an opinion of the ride combo of the Eibach pro damper kit when used with the Eibach 2/4 pro kit search or ask OgRedd.

Yep, what Stealth said. The Eibach Pro-Dampers work extremely well and the ride is outstanding on my '07 with the Eibach 2/4 drop. I'd definitely recommend that setup to anybody. - Og

I would also recommend Belltech Street Performance shocks. The quality and the valving is by far the best for a lowered suspension shock.

Let me know if you need some pricing.

Guys I'm havin the same problem as the op, except my fronts not too bad it's the rear that I really can't stand, and I have airbags in the rear with an on board compressor. The bags go wear the bumps stops would be. I run the air bags cause of towing a trailer for landscaping, not every day but 3-4 days a week.

I'm running 2"/4" eibach drop kit with pro dampers all the way around.

Help us!! Haha
