???Real good deal on DJM 3/5 kit???

I found this guy on another forum and he sells DJM and Belltech setups. I told him I wanted the best ride possible with this kit and he suggested the Belltech adjustable front struts and rear shocks. He told me he has the absolute lowest prices shipped. Heres what he quoted me....

I have a 07 4wd with the factory lift blocks if that helps
DJM 3/5 lowering kit $525 shipped
With 1" lift shackle $625 shipped
Front rear Belltechs $350 shipped
So $975 for everyhing....................

I've been researching the drop kits for a while and I'm still iffy how they work with the flip kits. On DJM's site it says "vehichles with factory lift blocks require addional hardware to achieve desired drop" (something like that) So would I need a 1" or 2" lift shackle in the rear to get a true 5" drop since I'm removing the factory lift block?

Any help or input would be great. I'm not sure on the part numbers for the lift shackle or belltechs he quoted me.

your flip would be -5 and remove block will be -2 for -7. Then +1 with lift shackle for -6 total, or +2 for -5 total

Prices arent too bad since they are shipped prices

Why not do adjustable belltechs up front -2 or -3", and remove block and 2" drop shackle in the rear for -4"

If I just did belltech adjustables up front do I need to do springs as well? What about shocks for the rear. I just want a solid ride thats low without rubbing

front lower control arms 3.5" and rear 5" flip kit. Will need 2" lift shackles to get the true 5".

No the kit consist of front lower control arms, rear flip kit, and it comes with the lifting shackle. If you have a 4x4 truck your truck comes with different shocks in the front and a block in the rear. So when you add the 3.5" lower control arms and the belltech adjustable shocks your actually dropping the front 5.5"s. The rear you add the flip kit and remove the block so a total of 8"s well then you add your 1" lifting shackle that comes with the kit that raises it to 7"s. That will get you to the look of my truck. Now if you want the 4x4 true 3.5"-5" you will install the lower control arms and leave your factory 4x4 shocks. In the rear add the flip kit remove the block, add the lifting shackles and add the two inch lifting hangers. That would make your 4x4 a true 3.5"-5" drop just remember a 4x4 sits 2 inches higher than the 4x2.

But the kit doesnt come with shocks or the lift hangers right? Thats all purchased individually I thought?

Correct all the kit includes is the lower control arms, rear flip kit, and.lifting shackles. For the longest time I ran the ford factory shocks and ran toxic shocks in the rear but yes if you want shocks and lifting hanger that's extra.

So price wise do you think the $925 shipped with adjustables and everything is the best price?

using factory springs and drop hardware (flips and control arms) will net you a dropped but slushy ride. not a bad thing, just not gonna be tight. i often thought that i should have gone this route until i took corners at speed and stayed flat and fast through it. i like where this thread is going though.. good luck!
