Meaning what? What is the fix? Get rid of the 3" coils and use the factory coils with the adjustable struts?

Meaning the short coils on the stock struts caused it to bottom out.

I don't think that is it.....My truck doesn't bottom out with the 3" springs. If it bottoms out when hitting big bumps, it is prolly the struts that are worn out. Is the front end a little bouncy when you go over the small bumps? I would bet that is your problem.

I do. My 2" springs with stock struts would bottom out over speed bumps, going slow. I could feel them hitting the bump stop after the bump. Too soft of gas pressure.

Make sure you have a good air compressor and a good spring compressor

After reading this a couple times, it almost sounds like we are arguing about the same point.

Got one side done, used the factory coil spring and the strut in the 3" lowered position and it raised the truck 1" from where I was, so I pulled it apart again and put the 3" lowered coils and put the struts at -1/2", now it sits 1/4" lower than it did before. Fixing to do the passenger side now and will report back after a test drive.

Just got back from the test drive and it seems to be better than it was, still bottomed out on a big bump but overall smoother. Sits 1/4" lower than it did before I started today.

Expedition: I'll get it washed tomorrow and post some pics then. Its filthy right now, me and my daughter went down a muddy road the other day.

Now that the suspension is the way I want it I need to cut my tierod and then have another alignment done. Then hopefully I can find some 20's for it.

Thinking about putting the lowering shackles on the back to bring it down an inch. Once I put air in the bags right now it raises the back up too much. I like it to sit perfectly level.

I was doing some google research and it looks like the belltech spindle is the answer to all my problems but its a $467 answer. Plus you have to have 20" rims to use those spindles. Guess that will be next year.

Here is a pic I snapped this morning. This is how it sits with no air in the rear. Once I air the bags up it sits about 1" higher in the rear so I guess now I need to do a C-notch and lower it 1" so once I add air it sits level.
