need help, anybody with 3" belltech coils on 2004-2008 f150

I put the 3" lowering coils on my truck about a month ago. Seems like the more they settle in, the worse the ride gets when I hit a decent size bump.

I left the yellow bump stop on and used the factory struts.

Question 1: should I have taken the yellow bump stop off or is the strut going to bottom out if I do that?

Question 2: How much shorter is the body of the belltech drop struts and would that be the answer to my problems by allowing more travel for the shaft of the strut?

I am running the same spring. But the more I notice the horrible ride the more
I know I need new shocks. How many miles are on your truck?

30,000 miles, truck rode fine in the front before I lowered it. I'm pretty sure its just the fact that the factory strut isnt short enough.

Maybe slice off some of the bump stop. I wouldn't completely remove it. - Og

I thought about that, just not sure how much to leave to keep it from hitting metal on metal. Maybe an inch? I think it is about 3" tall right now but is compressed to about 1.5" so basically I'm riding on the bumpstop at all times.

I would buy a set of belltech adjustable struts, sell the 3" coils, buy a set of 2" coils and adjust the struts for a total 3 " drop

I just cut the bump stops in half and it rides much much better now. Only hits hard if I hit a huge bump so I can live with this until I decide to get the belltech struts.
