Eibach discontinuing.....

Hey guys,

I know i haven't posted here in a little while...

I have the 2/3 Eibach kit. one of my rear leafs is creaking horribly under slow speed articulation. I called Eibach to find out if this is a warrant-able excuse...

The first response that i got from a Research and Development Tech was that it is a warrant-able excuse, but they cant warranty it because they are discontinuing the 2004-2008 Eibach kit. This didn't sit well with me because one of the reasons i bought from Eibach was because of their Million Mile Warranty that they offer on their springs..... This information came from the HEAD of the R&D department....

I called back and spoke with a sales representative and was told the opposite... He said that he has not been informed of any plans to discontinue the parts... but he said that it doesn't mean that there are not plans to discontinue the line that he just doesn't know about...

I don't know if the R&D Head was just feeding me a line so that i would just live with the creaking or if there really are plans to discontinue the 2004-2008 line....

All in all... they are going to warranty my leaf springs...

I just wanted to let everyone that has the Eibach Kit that there might be a possibility that our kits will not be warrantied in the near future due to the kits being discontinued..... If i had my way... i would have multiple people on this forum that own the Eibach kit call our email and make it clear that we don't want this kit discontinued......

That's kinda hard to believe with the popularity of those year models. Thanks for the info, though. - Og

Since when does bad info mean they are not making the leafs any more? Sounds like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.

Exactly. When does the head of a company (or a department) actually know what's really going on? The sales rep sounds more credible. Heck, I know more than all my supervisors and managers will ever know about this hole I work at. Sheesh. :o - Og

I doubt they discontinue them, they may be updating them or something, I know the 09+ have longer leafs so they maybe doing R&D for them, but i doubt they'd discontinue a leaf spring that fits trucks that are only 2 years old

Seems to me that they're moving away from the trucks. I know that they scrapped plans to develope a kit for the 09+ F-150. Damn shame because they were my first choice.

That sucks about the 09+ F150's, Ground Force will gladly pick up the slack in sales for them.
