Air Ride Suspension
This was my Idea to get it down, keep it simple, and be able to return it to stock if need be
1. "Front" 4 " or 5" air bag strut I just want the front tire to tuck into the well with the liner in place
2. "Back" flip kit 5 or 6 inch just enough to meet the top of the tire with the fender and I will use a helper bag in the rear for driving and possable towing.
3. That way its slammed for the shows lifted with the lowered look for driving and full bags maxed out if need be to move a trailer in less than ideal conditions for a lowered truck. Most of the time it will probably be at 2.5 in the front with 4 or 4.5 in the rear I will use the bags to achieve this. I really don't want to remove the leafs and the pearches just for ease of resale. What do you guys think? The helper bags if I select the correct flip kit should only have to raise the truck 1/2 inch or less I want the racked look. When I had a GMC a 1/2 inch was about 25psi

Well first thing u will have to change is tires for sure when I had 22s I had 265-35-22 dropped 4-6" that's what I would run doing what ur talking about I still pulled.a 20 ft car hauler with my show truck on it with no problems I didn't used airbags for the rear I used torsion bars on the trailer to help but for what ur talking about doing I would add the sport rite helper bags cause they are designed for lowered trucks
One thing that maybe I did not make clear in my original post was that the front will have three positions full air when I need to move the boat around in less than Ideal conditions for a lowered truck so probably only when I hook up and unhook which should only be at home in the driveway.
The ride height is going to be 2.5 in the fron and the back should be around 4 or 4.5 alignment will be set at the drive height
Lastly when it is fully aired out is will be for shows only when I am parked I will not drive it any distance unless I raise it to the 2.5 stance same with the boat only fully aired out this would just be to get over obsicles if there are any in the way that I cannot remove big ruts possable rocks etc.
So with the 285 45 22 with four or five inch drop in the frontwich will be an air strut. I have to measure for correct fitment either 4" or 5"drop, remember ther will be a negative camber affect after the 2.5 drop point and I have a+42 offset so it should tuck no problem. I only want the front tire to tuck slightly past the fender. For the rear tire right at the top of the fender I do not want it to tuck, I like the racked look it is for shows only in that position after it is parked. I saw someone say that it binds the front ball joint will this show stance only. I will only drive it at the 2.5 height never any lowe than that on the hwy roads. Thanks for everyones input
P.S. AKA motoring they make 4 brands it's a nice cast rim, nice finish., But there customer service for technical information is the worst I have delt with in years. just food for thought to those that are looking at new rims for there truck. Try and see if someone else can meet your needs. It will save you a big headache. Example they cant tell the correct offsets because there boxes a suposably marked incorrectly Duh nice quality control over there.

To do this, you need a taller tire or more than 6 inches of drop
tire size
as of right now the gap in the front is 5" to cover the front fender slightly. This measurement is with the stock spring and current tire. For the back it is 4.5 to the top of the tire I do have a 1.5 lowered shackel in the back. So for me I think a 5" strut up front and the flip kit without adding th stock shackel back into the mix the bell tech flip kit will get me 6" in the rear. I will be about .5 short of being right at the tire in the rear and that is ok it will still have the racked look and that is my goal. Now the part that I anm a litttle confused on is with a 5" drop only for the shows wil that put to much stress on the front ball joints just sitting ther. My last question is what compressor tank and control pannels for this application would be a good choice. Thanks agian to all for your input
