Talking New plan of attack.

So I was just screwing around in PS (instead of studying for my Surveying test tomorrow), and I think I may have finally decided on the look for my truck.

Nothing to crazy, just a street friendly stock look. In the picture below, the following things I changed were: 16" Expedition wheels (just like Fairlaner's to be exact, Thanks Keith), PTM upper & lower 4wd valance, other misc trim pieces paint flat (or gloss) black, shaved bed/tailgate caps, and [I'm guessing] a 2"/4" or 3"/5" drop (current drop is 0"/2", soon to be 1"-2"/2". Not seen in the pic would be a shaved tailgate, and also a PTM rear bumper pad.

Current Look:

Proposal:

Comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

It'll look good man! You do plan on using more of a street looking tire on the Expy wheels I assume?

I like it a lot. The only thing that gets me is the wheels. I totally understand about cost and everything, but if it were me, i would put a set of L 20's on it. That color is so beautiful.

What do you mean ... those are the coolest wheels on the whole site! LOL

Being an old-timer w/ basically no computer skills, it's a little strange to see my 'custom' wheels on someone else's truck.

I like the wheels man... I just picture a larger size.. just personal preference. They look good on your truck because of it's stance. Lowered with that much sidewall is not my taste, but it still looks good

I'm just playin' w/ you!

I'm a guy who tries to put as little money into his vehicles as possible, while still having something presentable to drive (as you can tell by looking at my truck). Buying a house in California, getting a 15% pay cut, helping to support various disabled family members all take a toll. I would love to do various high-dollar mods to my truck, but in reality, it ain't never gonna happen.

BTW dirty88, the proposed mods to the truck look good (especially the wheels LOL) ... go for it!

I don't think they'll look bad as long as they have a more square tire as opposed to the fat looking tires in the pic. I agree with you on the sidewall though, less is more in most cases. That said, I think a more aggressive looking tire would work with the smaller rims.
