04-08 c-notch Q's

i am planing on lowering my truck another inch all the way around to make it a 4/7. right now i use a 3" belltech spring in front and 4" leaf w/shackle in back. help up front will be belltech nitro 2's(adjustable). the rear i am going to flip w/shackle. but the question is about a c-notch. everyone that can sell me one is out of stock. does anyone know if a universal notch would work. also how different is the frame on a 97-03 to 04-08? i can find the 97-03 everywhere, can i make one of them work?

any help would be appreciated!

not sure. it was a couple weeks ago. i did find a universal notch that you can bolt or weld in. i am not sure if it would work or not. i guess i will have to measure the frame and get the dimensions on the notch.

i have 6 years of welding and fab experience and im thinking about just getting some 8" 1/4" pipe and cutting it in half and cutting the frame so that half piece will fit in the frame and weld it in and then taking some 2" square tubing 1/4" thick and weling it above the piece that i welded in to make it rigid i did all me suspension work on my show truck thats in my pics the 93 ford

A static 4-7 would make your truck sit LOW.....

Hell my front cross member on my truck already looks beat to sh*t because of how low it sits. I'm only a 3/5

bankrpt - with you 4" in front did you cut the tie rod and the ends? if so how much? that's all i am really worried about.

like i said it's a 3/6 right now. so another inch isn't going to be that big of a deal. just some extra work.

Don't be worried about cutting them my truck had less than 500 miles on it when I dropped it and it has over 70000 now and that was back on 04 when these trucks came out never had any type of problem either
