22" wheels

Hey Everyone

New guy to this sight, I wanted to see if anyone can recomend a wheel manufacture that makes an off set for a 22" that does not stick out past the front fender. I want to lower the truck either bell tech 3/5 or an "air bag it" kit plug and play. The truck is an 08 f 150 5.4 supercrew I have the boss 330 22x9 with a 285 45 22 6 on 135 +32 ofset now. The mfg is going to take them back because the finish on the wheels I keep getting seem to be blems. So they are willing to take them back because there quality control is slippin a bit.

wheel offsets have a lot to do with the wheel size and not just the offset numerical value.
I have 22x9.5s with a 35 offset and they stick out.
on a 9.5 wheel a 40-45 offset would be the best but i dont know how the wheel would travel inside the fenderwell. You may get some rubbing inside by the tire or perhaps even the wheel itself on the a-arms or other components.
the smaller the width (EI 9 or 8.5) the smaller you can go on your offset.
I honestly havent seen any wheels with a higher offset than 35 in the nine to nine and a half width.
You could go with a 35 offset with perhaps an 8.5 wheel and it should be close to level with the fender lip. I dont think they make too many 22s with less than an 8.5 width.

just caught this
airbagit kit as in airbagit.com!!? AKA AIM?
not going to bash but just make yourself aware of AIM-airbagits previous history. I would recommend the bell-tech ten times more than the "plug and play" bag kit from them.

I agree. AIM, and all there other companies have a horrible reputation for quality and customer service.
As for the wheels, I have 22x9.5 Eagle Alloy wheels on my 05 Expy. THey have 6.7 inches of backspacing and the edge of my tire/wheel is just about even with the edge of my fender flares up front.

American Eagle and Boss 22x9.5 wheels +40 mm offset with 6.785 BSM will work. Nothing lower than a +36 offset

thanks guys that is what I was looking for some #'s, now I know what to look for. The guys at the wheel mfg told the dealer and myself that the +30 is the same as stock wheels. It sticks out about 1/2 to 1 inch and that is not what I expected to get. Just food for thought I am no expert on offset but I thought when you tell someone that you are going to lower the truck and you want the wheel to slightly tuck thats what they should order for you. I will post the out come of this. So that no one else will have to go through this like I did no name bashing for now

22" wheels

well heree goes what I found out about offset in 22" wheels the best it gets +38 on a 22x9.5 so you can have a choices the +40 is in one style wheel from A/E do not like that style a few ather choices are 22x9 +32 sticks out an inch and the 22x9.5 +30 +34 +35 go with those sizes and you have a little more varietyI like the endless lip so for the size I needed 6 on 135 almost every manufacture is out of stock or will take 4 to six weeks and they do not know ahead of time what they are gettingI was told by a different comapny that works for ford the 22" are a problem if you do astatic drop and want thenm to tuck. he also said that 20 are the way to go if you want that type of clearence and there are a plethera of them on the market. I ende up with fierro n116 they are a 22x9.5 with +34 back spacing. still stick out so it looks like with thses wheels I will anly be able to drop the truck 2 in the front and 4 or 5 in the back. Hope this will help someone in the future. This has been going on for three months now and I just got the new wheels on tuesday
